Anyone have info on the M32K-4A?

I think those were used to haul munitions around airfields or Ammo Supply Points....not sure how road worthy they would be. Somebody correct me if I misspoke.

What does a Water Buffalo weigh?

Sorry GE.....I can't resize the photo. When I was stationed in Korea the first time the small post I was on (Camp Colburn) actually had an RPAV for groundskeeping duties. I was the Battalion Commander's driver and as an additional duty I was a Drivers Trainer and gave road tests to new...

    Dual Exhaust For Deuce

This is what my bobber looked like with duel stacks. They were made from HUMMVEE fording exhaust pipes.

What does a Water Buffalo weigh?

Did you know? The two wheeled "walking tractors" were used by the South Korean farmers in place of the four legged water buffalos. We called them "One Eyed Water Buffalos" or RPAVS (Rice Patty Assault Vehicles).

    M88's headed Home for Rebuild

Polk is prob being used a a Mobilization point for Nat. Guard or Reserve Soldiers. Their vehicles are painted for the Theater of Operation they will be deployed to. Or it could be an active duty unit stationed a Polk that is headed over there.

How do I haul a trailer without using air brakes?

That genny trailer will whip your azz and eat your lunch. I have towed them behind an empty deuce and got shoved around. That is a max towed load even for a deuce......without trailer brakes you will toast the brakes on that Chevy on a moderate downhill grade. And don't forget the DUMAS...

    M107A2 Trailer, Water Tank

Last "Water Buffalo" that sold at Redstone went north of 400 bucks but it was the newer model with the round tank. They are not all that common so price is subjective......other than hauling water (or waste oil or veggie oil) there is not a lot of use for them. Since you are on the left coast...

    UH60 Blackhawks

I have flown in just about everything with rotors on it but I will forever love the Huey. The "Hawk" is a great machine but us old schoolers are set in our ways. "Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth –Put out my hand and touched the Face of God."

How do I haul a trailer without using air brakes?

What do you plan on pulling it with??? The trailer by itself is heavy.....if you put a decent sized load on it it will push anything smaller than a 1 ton dually around like a toy especially if there is nothing in the bed of the truck for ballast. The deuce is the smallest military vehicle...

Commo Gear for the GA Rally

You can hunt anytime....a good SS rally only happens a few times a year.

    Black smoke/RPM question

Things to remember about diesel engine smoke........white smoke usually indicates oil burning in the cylinder....bad rings or oil getting into combustion chamber from another source..if an engine is "using oil" (you have to constantly add oil to maintain the correct level) it is prob burning oil...

    Soap mixed in fuel???

Remember that jet fuel is souped up kerosene....mix it with used motor oil or veggie to provide lubrication to the IP.

Commo Gear for the GA Rally

For commo in the camp (putting out info) we will have the PA system that we had last year. For commo as in calling back from the trailrides to the rear we have discussed some options but did not come up with a solution yet. All ideas are welcome.

    "Sky Sweeper"

There is one near me that still has wheels under it. It is like one of the 180mm towed artillery pieces...it had a set of wheels that could be removed. The legs you see in the pic folded together to form the frame of the piece when it was towed. I have some pics if I can find them.

    Anniston Alabama to Columbia S.C.

My issue is that my primary recovery deuce is holding up a load of steel (a few thousand pounds that ironically came from AAD) I picked up for fellow SS ALREDNECK.....as soon as he can off load it I will be Fully Mission Capable. Maybe sometime next week.
