    Anniston Alabama to Columbia S.C.

Hummmmm.....sounds like something we can use at the GA Rally for our field kitchen set up....MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA If I can get the stuff off the deuce before then maybe I can snag it.....might want to put me down as "Plan B". I can pick it up and hold but not transport to SC. Contact Mike...

M1008 video ad with "Adult Tease" music...wtf

If that thing came from the FL Nat Guard I would inspect it very carefully for rust....most vehicles I have seen that came out of there had rust issues. I spent a lot of time at Camp Blanding, FL and the DRMO yard was full of rust buckets. "Let the buyer beware".

    Waste oil Filtration system

Make sure your filter set up will remove water. Water can migrate into used oil through leaks in head gaskets or condesation in the waste oil tank. If your waste oil comes from a repair shop do they dump anything they remove from vehicles in there even if is contaminated with anti-freeze, brake...

M35, Going To A Larger Tire Using Same Wheels?

On the stock rims you can go with 1100x20's (off 5 ton trucks) and 12.5x20's. If you get into the bigger radials you will have to consider getting some HEMMT rims recentered to hold wider tires. While you will pick up a little top end if you go with the HEMMT rims and big radials you will be...

    Running everything

Good deal...we would hate to see you make an ash out of yourself.rofl If you check aftermarket parts suppliers (JC Whitney, etc) you might find an add on tank that will fit under the vehicle since the M1009 is basically a Chevy truck painted green and built to mil specs. Good luck and keep...

    Anniston Alabama to Columbia S.C.

Mitch......my only running deuce is full right now...how long do you have to pick it up? What is it?

    Whats it worth

It has a PTO lever....could have been a tanker or winch truck. The PTO is worth some bucks and the axles will go for 1200 at least. I'd buy it for a parts truck if nothing else.

    Some kind of tool box

Nice boxes...looks like "Ma Deuce" had a comfortable ride in there. Which I were closer....I'd try to trade you out of one. If you still have them in Oct. the GA Rally is the place to be for horse trading and selling.

I deny everything and demand proof.

    Running everything

While I admire the inginuity and fab work you have I find the fact of having 32 gallons of any type fuel in the engine compartment disturbing. In a frontal impact collision at moderate speed there is going to be a crushing effect on the front end which will likely result in the tank being...

dismounting and then remounting tires...need help

Swinging the duckbill (or in my case an old dull mattock) and hitting between the ring and the bead is a learned art. You will smack the ring and get the full effect on your hands a few times before you get it down to a science. Using copious amounts of soapy water (for some reason Dawn works...

    Cool Tools Forum?

I am all for it.......especially if there is a section on improvised or home made tools that are useful for working on oddball stuff. Case in point.....I could not find the correct Allen wrench for removing the drain plug on the deuce fuel tank.....usually a 1/2 drive ratchet head will go...

    Hemtt Fire Sale!

I've talked to the guy dressed in white in photo 2....he is head of Dell Tech Support. "My name is John and how can Dell help you tonight?" (spoken in Pak dialect)

    What happened???

Frank....I have had the same prob when posting from a puter at school......it is best to write a long post in WORD or other word processing program and then copy and paste to your thread. The first time it happened to me I went ballistic and called my puter bad names.:-)

    Loose lower radiator tanks

My uneducated guess is vibration and maybe flexing when on rough terrain. I have had a few like that and the good news is that if you have basic brazing skills you can reattach the mount without a lot of trouble (other than pulling the rad). They are soldered on...not welded..... so repair...
