    Where to buy a Deuce

I think SS member Wering (sp) is in Houston. He does a lot of custom work but may have some stock deuces.

    M275 Sound off...

I have an M275 and it is a little workhorse. I don't know if it has a higher gear ration tranny or rears but according to the speedo it does 65 with a little pedal left. Pulls the expando van nicely.

Source for 5 ton wheel cylinders

I have a friend that has a 5 ton that needs a wheel cylinder replaced or rebuilt. Is there a civ cross over part (NAPA, Fleet Pride, etc) or rebuild kit available. If not, which of the usual suspects has the parts at a (fairly) reasonable price? Thanks.

Run a Deuce from Redstone to Indianapolis?

PC.....I was being charitable......it beats what they had prior which was the BF forklift unloading them by picking them up and having the trailer pull out from under them....lots of FUBAR fenders for a while. Personal note........I have met PC and he is a good guy.....I would reccomend his...

How about alcohol? (and a gas tax question)

Stay away from ethanol (and laquer thinner...ask me how I know) and other "dry" fuels. The multi-fuel loves the heat generated by oil....veggie, waste motor old, hydrolic and transmission fluid. You cannot make ethanol cheap enough to replace diesel or scrounged oil. The only way you are...

    Primary Filter Confusion

My keeper deuce will have all filters changed to spin on (thanks Westfolk).....they are just too easy and if you get caught out on a dark interstate ramp and need to change secondary filters it it worth the cost (ask me how I know).

Has anyone built a big slide-in "truck" camper for a M35 Deuce?

I would go at least four inches to be safe. The area behind the camper would be a nice little "back porch".

that damm green bug has bitten again

You are doomed to a life of green iron addiction......hanging out with you similarly addicted low-life buddies. Welcome to the Green Iron laughing accademy.:cookoo:

Run a Deuce from Redstone to Indianapolis?

Redstone has a loading dock and a Big Arsed Forklift so loading with no brakes can be done. Two deuces will fit on a 53 foot step-deck lowboy (I shipped two back from Arkansas). Try to find a driver that has moved MV's before. There are a couple of guys on SS that haul commerically...

    New guy from east TN.

Welcome to the Green Iron Loony Bin.:cookoo: Run now before you are sucked down into the abyss of Green Iron Addiction. You have been warned. I am hosting a mini-rally next month.....you and yours are welcome to attend. Do a search for "Wreckerman's Spring Fling". Final details will be...

    scrapping a XM689 shelter dolly

They do sell locally but I am "on the wagon" right now......trying to pay off some bills. If you still have the setup in Oct maybe someone headed to the GA rally could bring them down. I hate to see good stuff go the the scrapman.

    Anyone get an M911?

    MMMMMMM.........M911 Bobber.

Has anyone built a big slide-in "truck" camper for a M35 Deuce?

Is there such a thing as too redneck????? It would look better if it were raised up and the front of the camper was over the top of the deuce. It would be more streamlined (not much more considering the deuce has the aerodynamics of a cement block).

Someone ask us -Do you want a free Deuce

Brings new meaning to the old expression "she's been run hard and put up wet". The rock crawlers will be all over those axles....plenty of saleable parts and scrap is 12 bucks a hundred here......you can't go wrong with free.

    scrapping a XM689 shelter dolly

Of course you are in NY:rolleyes:. You could make a real nice steerable trailer out of those axles.....if I were closer I would be on it like a hobo on a ham sandwich. That dolly used deuce rims and 900x20 tires....should be a deuce drum.

cool photos of russian bombers in UK airspace

I saw a program about the B-52 on the History Channel........one of the pilots they interviewed was youger than the "BUFF" (Big Ugly Fat F**ker) he was flying......ironically his father flew the same plane when he was an active duty pilot. If you want to read a good fiction book about the B-52...

    m35 multifuel ip pump

A big lot of them sold out of GL Redstone a few weeks ago....don't know if they went to an individual or one of the "usual suspects" big dealers.
