    Deuce - 1, Honda Passport - 0

My intuition tells me that there was some sort of distraction going on (texting, yakking to his buddies, cell phone, etc). At the very least it was poor driving skills. The fact that there appeared to be little or no braking tells me that...... "you just can't fix stupid".

What is wrong with saying I'm parting out an M750 van box?

I understand that there is a Classified section on this site. I also understand that a lot of folks don't check it daily and I don't see a prob with posting a "teaser" on a regular catagory to direct people to an ad in the classified section as long as the thread doesn't get jammed up with...

    Towing a deuce

Can you tow a deuce with your F250? Yes. Should you tow a deuce with your F250? No!!!! How far can you tow a deuce with an F250? All the way to the scene of the crash. Never tow a larger vehicle with a smaller one....the laws of inertia will beat you every time. If you opt to do it PM me...

    military wrecker FS, Zephyrhills, Fla

Trucks do not normally "recover" tracked vehicles (although I have yanked M113's out of the mud with a M816 wrecker). Big trucks such as the M123, M923 and the new HETT can winch tracked vehicles and tanks up on a lowboy and transport them. Towing a tracked vehicle with a truck would be...

    Built Cargo Cover

If you have ever had to load/unload cargo on a frequent basis in a regular decue with cargo cover you will know why they made "build ups". It was back breaking and you banged your head on the bows often.....and in the summer it was hotternell under there. I modified my deuce in Gemany since we...

    M915 - what a ride!

One of the worst faults of the CAT tranny was that if the air pressure dropped below 80 psi it would shift into NEUTRAL.....bad news going down hill with a heavy load on......no engine braking capability. There was a Modification Work Order that added an extra air tank to these vehicles but I...

Curious... There's no place like home ...

The 817 is a great dump truck but getting parts for the 250 Cummins is becoming difficult. I am replacing the 250 in my wrecker with a 290 for that reason. Unless you need the capacity of the dump I would go with the deuce with winch and put a dump bed on it. Several members here have done it...

    F-35 Vertical Landing

How do you get 14.00 R20 M939/M944A1 tires off the rim?

Be sure to use some lubrication as you beat the bead down.....50/50 Dawn dish washing liquid and water is slicker than snot on a doorknob. Squirt all the way around bead...wait a few minutes, beat on bead with preferred implement of destruction, put more lube on...wait a few minutes, beat down...

    GL autobid

"The truth is stranger than fiction Judgy Wudgy"......Curly Joe Howard, Three Stooges, "Disorder in the Court". GL's objective is to make the maximum profit for the company. Would they risk criminal charges for bid rigging or other hijinks?? That depends on what they think is an acceptable...

    M915 - what a ride!

I once had the opportunity to convoy from Fort Benning, GA., to the National Training Center at Fort Irwin, Ca. We drove M915's pulling the three axle trailers the Army had then. My trailer had two deuces loaded on it and the truck ran great all the way out there. Our trucks had the 15 speed CAT...

What are you paying for a m35a3????

More than you will pay for an A3. Any engine painted yaller is going to cost you big money when it breaks or needs to be replaced.

    m35a2 or possible 818

Unless you get an unreal price at Redstone you would prob be just as well off money wise to buy one out of Wisconson. You are prob looking at a couple of grand to move one that far. There are several haulers here on SS. PCTRANS is a good guy.

Any idea what happened to sale 4927?

Did you get an offical notice by clicking on the EUC Status tab under My Account on the web site? If there is something hinky you may or may not get notified by the GL "Customer Service" (and I use the term loosely). I would do the live chat or call them (be prepared to be put into HOLD...

What's a 'LOW MILEAGE' Deuce worth?

If choir practice was in the middle of a minefield out in a salt marsh.

Flexible fuel hose size(s) for 818

If the 818 has the fuel tank selector switch (and I think it does) that may be the culprit. They are bad about the seals shrinking and allowing air to be sucked into the system. I bypassed the one in my wrecker and I think Tony Wright had to do the same with his. Unless you are going to make...
