It is on a pallet for easier load/unload.
I also have a connection for new batteries (seconds...some blemished)...660 CCA Your price $55.00.

From what I could see a good time was had by all....the weather was a little damp but the hard rain held off until after noon.
Got to see some old faces and met some new friends.....and made a little coin.
Looking foreward to the SS rally next month.
When I built my last shop I put plastic "bubble wrap" type insulation between the frame and metal roofing.
It might work in this application...comes in big rolls.
According to FreightTrain( my long suffering side kick, chief mechanic, and now SS Banned Bad Boy) the Canadians had Jakes on their 250's. You might try that as a source.
I have parted out several trucks...I keep as a minimum: 1 radiator, 1 alternator, 1 Injector pump, turn signal arm and black box, and other things I think I might need.
Me an my long suffering sidekick FreightTrain have just such a project in mind...when it it finished it will knock your socks off.......I can't give exact details right now but think BIG T-bucket body style with BIG V-8 diesel.

Look at the axles....if there is air brake chambers on each wheel then they have been converted (maybe using FMTV axles).
There should also be two valves on the dash...one red labeled EMERGENCY and one yellow labeled SERVICE...

You never know when something like that will come in handy...could be used for firefighting in...
I have Alabama farm plates on the 816 wrecker. Progressive wrote me a decent policy, full coverage for around $600.00 a year. Now I get to see if they will cover the M915.
Historic insurance has very limited coverage...if they find out you are not adhering to their guildelines they can cancel or...
If you are going to be back in GA around the end of Oct. you need to try to make the GA rally. You will get to meet a lot of the faithful and make some good contacts to further your business.
And........WE WILL HAVE COOKIES!!!!!!:-D
The conflict I see is that they get to pick the stuff that will bring the most retail profit and get it dirt cheap. They are then in direct competition with dealers (their own customers) that have to purchase items at auction, pay GL's buyers premium and sales tax.
Business as usual for...
I took the beast for a short drive this afternoon, stayed in low range and poked along.
She ran OK but smoked a lot (not blue smoke......prob unburned fuel blowing out).
The mechanic did say I might have got lucky and only have a bent pushrod.
May try to pull the top off the rockerboxes and...
Tim...we may have to deal on the engine....when I told the guy what I needed he grinned and said "drop em' and bend over the desk"
Shop rate is 60.00 bucks an hour and he said 20 hours min to take the exhaust manifold and rocker boxes off. The we get to add parts and other...
The only mass sales I have seen is of "residue vehicles" which means that GL considers them in too bad of shape to sell one at a time.
I was involved in the purchase of over 200 vehicles from Camp Shelby last year.
Everything went fairly smooth paperwork wise.
The GL folks at Shelby did a great...
According to GL website Eglin does not load out on Friday.
I don't think the invoice will clear that soon.
You might call and ask tomorrow...and call GL Eglin and see if their policy has changed.
