    Wrecker's wrecker back home

Well after two days of wringing of hands and gnashing of teeth I have the M816, the M109 and the M36 at my new LZ. All of them made it back without incidient and the wrecker is a strong runner (thanks to Papa Bear for the transplanted engine). I like the M36 so much I may keep it if I can sell...

    Wreckerman's bob deuce pics

It seems to turn a lot better and handles good on the open road. It accelerates much faseter since losing all the heavy suspension parts from the dual axle set up. My goal is to have the big super singles on it once I get the Master Card paid off.

    Wreckerman's bob deuce pics

Here are some pics of the bob deuce that I put the flat bed on. Still haven't permanantly attached the bed since it has to be painted. I did all the fab work on the exhaust.

    Changing Fuel Filters

You can but it is a PITA if the gaskets aren't just the right size. I bought some big fat O rings to use as gaskets..should make changing the ones on the engine easier.

    Wreckerman's wrecker needs answers

Hey folks. Tomorrow or Sat I will try to move the 816 to it's new home. It has been at an alternate LZ while getting repowered. I am working nights this week and have limited access to the computers at work. When I am home I am sleeping or getting ready to do another 12 hours at the plant. I...

    Good or bad idea...

When me and Freightrain went to Arkansas to recover three deuces we put my Ford Ranger in the back of one. I flat towed one deuce with another and FT drove one. We backed up to a loading dock and loaded the truck nose first into the deuce. The rear axle Ranger did not sit on the tailgate but it...

    goo in fuel tank???

Just my opinion but it may have been some sort of interior coating gone bad or someone used an aftermarker sealer on it. I have never seen anything that bad in a fuel tank. I would put a couple of gallons of acetone or laquor thinner in it and shake it around and let it soak a while. Then put a...

    Thanks Papabear.

I can personally attest to the fact that he also likes home made cookies. Bama lady said she will cook them again for next years rally.

    2008 GA Rally Multimedia Thread

The rally was the best yet (IMHO). We had a plotting session Sat. night for next year. Maybe we can make it even better. I think we all agreed that this site rocks and is a shoe in for next year. Clinto and his GF deserve much credit for this great event.

    M105 lunette removal

Try getting it hot as you can with you torch and applying some candle wax to it. Sounds weird but it works..the heat will suck the wax up into the metal and it will come loose.
