Thanks for the information fella's. I'll see about running these down. I tried Napa last night with no luck, but have yet to make it to the parts yards.
AceHigh, if I can't find it, I'll let you know.
Thanks again.

All,
I've searched through the threads and have only found a reference to a replacement cap being available from a mid 50's car. Is there a better reference that I can utilize when I go to the parts house or the junk yard?
The reason I ask is that I'm looking to build a power bleeder for...
I was wondering this question too, and I haven't taken apart my hydraulic controller to find out for sure, but page 245 of the TM (9-2330-202-14&P) shows the guts. That may help get you on the right track.

That looks like the shovel was put there to help clear the bed if it was in the "dump" position. At least that's what I'd probably put one there for... Doubt that it was meant to be there for regular MV use...
After reading a few of the other responses, I have to agree that my previous suggestion of the towbar is probably the way to go.
The Uhaul trucks don't have a good towing attachment system on the one's I've seen and I wouldn't want to rent a trailer from elsewhere to hook it up. They have...
That looks like one of the older metal decks and not one of the newer painted rigs that most of the lots have in stock when the upgraded their supplies.
Good luck on getting the older model, and good thing you are starting early with getting things lined up.
To the OP, could you put narrower...
One of the interns that works at my office just pulled in with his M1009. I asked him if I could measure the tires and here's what I found:
Front tires are 79.5" out to out, 31x10.5R15 35psi
I didn't measure the rear tires, but they are slightly narrower.

I don't think it was a size issue (width / length) as compared to weight, they are extremely picky. I utilized a U-Haul trailer to pickup a '66 Scout 800 that had a dry weight of 4700lbs without any accessories. That trailer was at it's limit & I could tell when pulling it with an extended cab...
24v bulbs
Yes, the 24v bulbs are dimmer. Can easily switch over to 12v bulbs:
1156 - Turn / Stop
631 - Tail
If you want to swap out the blackouts too, there's a thread under the trailer section that has that information.

Adapter
That RV 7 plug to flat 4 adapter can also be picked up at Wally, Napa or any of the parts stores that sell towing gear. Run about $8 at the local wally-world.
From another forum
There's a similar discussion on one of the other forums I frequent. I have a slight obsession with IH Scouts. My g/f understands, especially after I bought one for her. But I digress...
Anyway, one of the gent's there has this response for his wife when she doesn't like...
Even though you'll have a partial ground through the hitch, complete the circuit correctly by connecting that ground wire.
Personally, I just took off the nato plug (unsoldered it on pin at a time) and put on a 7 pin RV plug. It isn't going to get towed by anything that can't control it in the...
That is the same as rewiring the trailer to a 4 plug. And you want to ensure you have the correct 4 plug for your vehicle. I know some ford's have the female on the vehicle, and you need a male / male adapter for the trailer if it's also female. My ranger was this way.
Since you are re-wiring the trailer to a 4 plug, just use the one that is opposite the tow vehicle & wire it up. Otherwise you need a female 12 pin nato plug for the converter. There's several threads about this, none of which I can link you directly to without searching myself.

I received this letter as well when I got my first M105. I think it's SOP for the gov't to give you another warning above and beyond the EUC paperwork. I dont' know if having that letter means you'll get a PIF notice or not. I received the letter about 2 weeks after picking up the trailer and...
I put a 350 gallon water tank in my M105 and pull it with my F250 Diesel. *yes, I know that braking is an issue, and I'm waiting for the replacement 6k axle to arrive*. With it full of water, just under 3k lbs; the trailer has NO clue that it's even there. I see or sense no spring movement...
They will automatically send you the paperwork for your state, either the title or the straight SF-97. They've got an internal list it seems that has all the states that require a title or SF-97 already and will send you the right stuff (hopefully).
You can't really start this process until...
That rack is the same as the front rack. I recently picked up a M105 in AK that had all the racks and bows; most of the ones up here may only have the sides. Hardly any bids as there's been a lot of trailers moving (much more than before).
You may get lucky and get one with out bidding too...
Update
Update - 5/17/10
Just took the SF-97's for my three recent trailer purchases and it must be whom is the manager of the minute to how they want to handle it. This time, they transferred the titles straight from the SF-97 to my name, no middle title in Gov Liquidations name... Saved $45...
