Nice truck! I wished mine would have been so nice when I got it.... hmmm, I did notice something though... I would look for evidence and/or damage from an engine compartment fire. The underhood area looks cooked. The rust spot on the hood and the rust on the driver's side floorboard/firewall...
Thanks Mike. I have mine apart as we speak and I went ahead and swapped races. I didn't want to come back to haunt me later. It would have probably ran a million miles but something told me to keep the wear marks with the same bearings.

Ok, what about bearings? I guess one would swap the inner and outer races and bearings. They are different and you don't want to mix bearings and races. Correct?

p.s. where is a good place to buy seals?
I just pulled mine apart to flip the hubs, and found my bearings were swimming in gear oil. There was none on the brakes, and there was no leakage. Is this caused by the little cork thing in the key way?

Hmmmmmm. What happens when you shut off the engine? The oil pressure drops while the cooling system stays pressurized. Poof... instant antifreeze in the oil.

Does the oil drain plug hole look altered or repaired? The reason I ask is that that piece looks like it may be part of a Heli-coil that could have been used to repair the oil pan.
