I use 2 Centennial batteries C-8DH 1400 CCA and they fit in the box perfectly though the top holder needs to be modified. 1 of these batteries is almost the same size as 2 6TLs. They have ample power for 200.00 each.

I found them at a local battery store in Salt Lake City, I'm sure you could find a distrubutor in yoru area the mfg web page is Centennial Batteries - "Start with the best !!!" I paid 200.00 each and they really seem to work perfect!

It was toast, I tried and tried to get it to start and I just cranked a little to long. It is amazing the difference in cranking with new batteries and a new starter!
