I'm working on a set-up to filter WMO for my Deuce. What I'd like to do is mount a 55 gal. drum 5' in the air with a tube coming from the bottom that runs to a valve. From the valve I would like to install a fuel filter with water separator then a premium canister oil filter, much like one that...
I just purchased one from a private seller in Oklahoma. I had the same idea as you, pay a little more and not have to worry about the paperwork. Check out the for sale section in the forums list, if not just start looking. It took me awhile to find what I was looking for, and when I did it was...
My tow rig is a 2008 F-350 6.4 dually with 3.73 gears and 6-speed manual tranny. Some modifications: S&B intake, SCT programmer (towed with 40hp tow tune) with Diesel Particulate Filter and Cat removed (I hate the EPA). It took the load very well. I was able to climb some pretty good hills at...
That's a big NEGATIVE on the trailer queen. It was bought to work, and work it will. I'm planning on using that 12' bed for all it's worth, deuces are fun to look at but there nothing better than making it earn it's diesel.
I also plan on mounting my 15' BBQ pit in the bed for football games...
Talked with the local State Farm agent and he said they wouldn't insure the truck because of the size. Gulfway seems to be the best bet, they know specifics about the truck and are SteelSoldiers firendly.
I even called my insurance company for my daily drivers and they wanted $750 a year just...
Here she is, drove 1500 miles round trip to get it. I was trying to get insurance through Hagerty for it, they denied me due to "Excessive/Inappropriate Use" because I wanted to use the truck on my private property. What kind of BS is that? Called Gulfway and they said no problem here's your...
Time isn't that much of an issue, that's why I think this set-up would work well. Just open the valve and come pack a few days later to filtered oil. So will a 10 micron be good enough, or should I go smaller?
I just purchased my M35 through a private seller, from StreetBikeDepot who posted above. You can expect to pay more for the truck but you can get a better idea of what you're buying. I'm nowhere near a base that's in the GL auctions so a private sell was in my best interest. I can honestly say I...
I'm trying to keep my filtering set-up as simple as possible. What I'm thinking is a raised 55 gallon drum with a pipe coming from the bottom with a valve, and under that some type of canister filter, then just ran into another drum underneath.
So to what extent do I need to filter it. I've...
Got the drive my new deuce around yesterday and saw that the temp gauge was maxed out when I was just leaving the truck at idle. I turned off the Acc. switch for a second then back on and the gauge read normal 150*. After idling for another few minutes it maxed itself out again. The engine temp...
The only markings I have on my truck is "Military Police" on the doors. Bumper markings have been removed. I think I'll just get the antique plates, $50 for 5 years isn't bad at all.
Here are some pictures of me hauling it back from Oklahoma.
I'm in Kingsville 5 days a week for classes and work. How do you have your truck registered? I'm thinking I'm just gonna go for farm truck or antique plates.
Also who are you using for insurance.?
Picked her up yesterday. Got stuck in Fort Worth for the night because of traffic, didn't feel like towing it in the dark. So far so good. The truck is in amazing shape and runs like a champ. Once I get back down south I'll put some pictures up.
