Hi
Thanks for the info. I am new to ham radio. I got my tech license last month and just got my general this week. I am really looking forward to getting on the air and plan on getting a HF rig in the home. We live in the mountains in Wapiti valley which is between Cody Wyoming and Yellowstone...
HI
I'm installing a 2 Meter radio in my Humvee and I wonder if it is ok to run power straight from one of the batteries or if I should get a 24 to12 volt inverter.
Thanks

Hi
I tried one more thing. I charged them back up with nothing hooked up to them and left them overnight. The next day I put the charger back on them and they were both dead. So as you suggested I had them checked under load and they were both bad. I didn't think that they would go bad...
OK
I have a 1991 Humvee and yesterday I tried to start her and all I got was a starter selenoid chatter. So I checked the batts and they were dead. Charged them overnight and the same thing just chatter.
So that's why I'm here looking for advice as to what to check.

Good day
I have a 1991 with a 6.2. Recently after starting her up and for several minutes it sounds like a relay is cycling on and off in the area of the starter switch. As it does the volt gauge drops and then goes up somewhat as the relay cycles off. Eventually it stops cycling and the volt...
Hi
Thinking of getting a military speaker for my CB radio for the military look. Does anyone know what the impedance of the speaker is inside or will I have to switch out the speaker.
Thanks for the help.

Hi
Yes I don't have a tread depth gage but I am using a machinist ruler and I know that the rear tires were about 90% when I put them on and that was only about 3000 miles ago. I have 30 PSI in the tires. Some have talked about wheel alignment. I am new to the Humvee and is it because of the...
Hi
The tires are radials and the wear is mostly on the center. I don't have a tread depth gage but the fronts are about 1/2" deep and the two rear are 5/16" on the right and 3/16" on the left. When I got her the rear left was also the most worn.

Hi
I got my Humvee about 8 months ago and I knew the rear tires were getting down there and so I got 2 tires off of Ebay that were at about 85% tread. I have only had them on about 3,000 miles and the rear tires are less then 40%.
Has anyone had this problem?
Thanks
Ken
