Welcome from SC you really did well for your first truck. They are a fun truck to drive and play with. Hope to see you on here more often now...........
Don't worry the cure for you will be one of two things. Out of money or a wife out of patience. Either way enjoy until the hammer falls. Now as far as everyone wanting a2,s I don't think that is true at all the reason I bought an A1 is due to the lack of the CTIS and new engine. Not knocking...
Andy I am so sorry I hope you get it straight. I have learned my lesson as well and found the easiest way was to call and and have GL put a hold on the transaction go to the bank and have the limit raised for the one transaction. Then call GL again and have them put it through on your debit...
In my opinion it was an Idea that was swapped around from Guard units and regular military and it caught on. Almost all of our National Guard Units have seen action in the middle east so it's not unlikely it was adapted by some as S.O.P.
Again this is just a theory that I have based on the...
Like has been said do a quick search on house paints being used on MV,s and you will enjoy the amount of material you will uncover. I myself still like the Sherwin Williams paint the best but it is twice as much as Home depots . Good luck.......
This is not uncommon to find. I posted a similar thread last year when I pulled mine for the first time. What I found was that it was a practice for some mechanics to give the filters an oil bath to catch the finer dust that made its way into the systems during Desert Storm. It was a battle...
All I can say is it never ceases to amaze me how you guys can make just about anything from scratch. Those are something I have thought about getting myself but, Time is something like money I never seem to have enough of LOL. Thanks for sharing.............
Josh you really did yourself proud. Your hard work and dedication to detail will result in a truck anyone would be proud to drive . Your only fault is your lack of photos to let us see your progress :) You know how everyone love pictures lol. Keep up the great work........
The man has a point that must be addressed if you have the truck titled now as a 923. how are you going to convince the DMV it is the same truck if you change the data plates ? I know the vin number will stay the same but you are changing the truck from a 923 to a 925 and the are not the same...
Bolkbich after you turn your truck off is it still venting air from the actuator? Mine is and I can't find any info on if this is normal are not. Mine is a 250 Cummins so I am not sure if it is the same as yours but I will continue to search and if I find anything I will forward it on to you...
Its good to have friends but, even better to have friends that save you from being stuck on the side of the road lol. I have been all over that truck after I do a shut down. I walk around the truck kick the tires and make sure all the lights are out and all power is off look for leaks and never...
As the title said I was at The SC meet and greet last week and was told by two friends (Later) that they heard air hissing from under the hood. I am half deaf from to many years behind the wheels of a UPS truck so I had to build up the pressure and cut the power and sit beside the engine on the...
Ben I was afraid of that. Your state is know to be a pain due to the EPA and DOT regs. You can find all the info you need to put a bed on your truck but, to honest you are better off to find a 923 A1 or A2 and avoid the hassle. These trucks are pretty dedicated to hard work but remember they do...
Your right the truck looks top notch . If you can't put it on the road and work with it you can always put a bed on it and carry on. Congrads on your find.........
As far as I have read the Marines were known for using the 923A1s. The one thing that made theirs different was the fact that the beds had five drop sides well four but, five counting the tail gate. Their shipping containers were smaller and so they required the drop sides to be cut in half so...
Hello and welcome from SC..... My wife is from Danville we go back there a couple of times a year. Oh But what you guys call roads out in the country we call trails. How you are able to even drive those skinny roads in a 5ton is a feat unto its self. Our emergency lanes are wider than those roads :)
