I will say that changing to NAPA trans fluid really helped relax the 2-1 downshift on mine. I was going to change the fluid on mine regardless, so I figured why not. I'm glad I did it.

It's been a long time since I did mine.. But I seem to remember you are supposed to check it with the engine idling, and only once it reaches operating temp (I don't recall there being a specific temp listed.) Hopefully someone else chimes in though. It might be different regardless, since mine...

Cool :) If I get another 5 ton, I think I will have an M931A2 set up like your M932.. Shortened bed with a hydraulic dump setup. Talk about perfect for yard work and other stuff around the house ;) I really think you should do a dedicated mod thread with pictures. I think that would help out...

True. The same would happen with a deuce style exhaust, though perhaps to a lesser degree.

Why are you so intent on having the exhaust at the front of the truck?? I understand if you're building a box on the back, but that does not automatically mean that the exhaust needs to go up front. I can think of 2 solutions right off the bat, unless you plan on driving through deep water...

Did you do the S10 heater core that I always hear people talking about?

Thanks for reviving this old thread. I had never seen it before :) As far as updates are concerned, I'm pretty sure I saw him recently in the thread about turning up the 8.3 engine.. I think he was having EGT issues after adjusting his fuel.
