I'll say it, if no one else will... nopics :)

M939 Exhaust Mod as in 800 Series.

Yup. Nice to have it father back. Not to mention the exhaust gas that inevitably makes it into the passenger compartment if the exhaust is forward of the cab.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

eh... Didn't do anything to the truck today.. Again. I did run it yesterday, but that was it. Spent the day inside the garage trying to learn how to weld with my cheap new Harbor Freight welder.. Works pretty well. Perfect day for it.. First we had rain, then sleet, then rain, then hail, then...

M939 Front Axle Will Not Engage- Transfer case rebuilding error- solved

I seem to remember someone else having this issue too.. First time I've seen pictures though. Thank you! :) :goodjob:

    932A2 short bed install

That's an M939 series battery relocation box. It was used on the "frankencab" trucks because they went with 2 air ride seats and a center console. The batteries couldn't stay in the cab anymore, so they put them there.

    932A2 short bed install

That's sweet man! Very nice 8) If I ever get the urge to have a cargo truck, I will probably do that instead of picking up a 923. Best of both worlds.. The utility of a cargo truck, but the smaller turning radius of a tractor :)

    M923 radio

You would probably be ok in a deuce.. I think those even have a sticker in the cab saying that ear protection is required, correct? It's not like they really pull over MV's anyway, unless you do something really stupid.

    M923 radio

Yup. I've always made a point to NOT give cops a reason to pull me over :recovry4x4: So far it's worked pretty well. Only been pulled over once in the last 10 years, and it was because my company didn't tell me that my work van is supposed to be inspected every 6 months. It was fine in the end...

    Ctis versus regular axles

Yup. Only ever been around my A2 tractor, never an original M939 or A1. I've certainly seen plenty of pictures, but I never paid attention to the profile of the axles. Yet another item to add to the list of reasons why the A2's are better ;)

    smaller steering wheel

    Man.. That does kinda suck.

    Ctis versus regular axles

It is to me. I never knew there was a difference. I assumed 5 ton axles were 5 ton axles.. I thought the only differences were the hubs.

    Hmm.. Interesting

    M923 radio

Just be careful with those if you're driving to different states. I know here in Illinois it's illegal to drive while wearing headphones, etc. The only exception is the use of a Bluetooth setup in one ear, because cell phone use while driving was made illegal here a few years ago. I believe...

Filling the HD740 in the HEMTT

I'm curious.. Did you happen to take a picture? I can't say I've ever seen a picture showing where it is on those trucks..
