    I did check the wiring going to the PTO unit...all looks fine even thou it is routed near the exhaust....the wire going to the sensitive switch , has a black cap that snaps on the top of switch...i can see bare wire where it meets the molded black cap but it is not broken or corroded...

    Just now getting around to figuring out how to run my generator on my m1031...i took some pictures of underneath the hood...according to some other pics i seen on SS...no one else has this cable hooked up the their governor...is this hooked up correctly ?...what is the cable used for? to hold...

    When i pull the blue knob out the pto light goes out....ill check the the pto position switch....that is located on the T/C correct?

    Ever since i got my 1986 M1031 running the dash mounted Pto light stays lite when truck is running or just the key in the on position....i doubt this is normal...i have not yet tried to test the generator yet ....the truck wiring looks unmolested and in amazing condition ...i searched around...

    I have a 1986 m1031 with the maintance box ...i just got the truck up and running...and now turning my attention to the generator....i have searched the forum and didn't come up with much info how to operate it...even looked in the TM'S but no luck...any help would be great! thanks steve

    I have a 1986 M1031...need to know if these had delayed wipers or just standard on /off wipers...low/high speed.....my turn signal / wiper switch is broken off....thinking im just gonna replace the whole steering column.....plus its missing the internal turn signal switch and cancelling cam...

    No i think im gonna keep my box on....if your box is in good condition and complete...should be able to get 600-700 for it.....scrapping it alone should fetch 400-500 depending on market prices....im sure someone will chime in and say im way off base!!
