There is a brass elbow on mine that has nothing connected to it and the other deuces at the lot did. what was that line for? We got the breaks working at the lot, drove it home, drove it around some trails and parked it. The next day pedal to the floor no brakes.
Also there appears to be a...
Your build is an inspiration for mine! love the truck. I have to build my bed still and hunt down tires. I actually have a warn series 18 for my rig. Looks awesome!
Do you not have lockers yet?
I found a good 53" bench seat from a van and was wondering if it would fit before I went to pickup my deuce early in the morning. I can't find dimensions anywhere!
Well it starts like a champ. My brand new truck starts about as well as it does. However massive break issues. I traced the clog to the airpack and Called Zach (I believe he's donkdonk on here) and he told me to take it apart. the brass thing in there was a little suck. washed everything...
Wait are people saying the maximum load (break) or max working load should be double the winch? I've noticed most winch wires are above wench strength, but working load is under. I just bought 100ft of dyneema 75 1.2 inch for 135 shipped.
Working loads are way lower than max and is a huge...
I called warn and they said my winch will only hold 75ft of half inch line. Sad day. I found a used 20 ton McKissick snatch block on cl we will see what the guy charges.
So I'm waiting/trying to figure out how to get my deuce home from where I bought it so I'm gathering parts such as batteries, muffler, movable winch mounts (I just picked up a brand new 24v Warn Series 18) and am wondering where everyone is getting their snatch blocks from and at what rating...
Now if that's a rules for deuces, maybe, but I know in the off road world you want to increase the contact patch. When large enough it keeps the vehicle from sinking. Skinny tire can sink to firmer ground but if you are in an area that the soft stuff or snow is deeper than your tires you are...
I hope this is the right spot for this and it shouldn't be in transportation...
Anyway, I bought a red deuce. I have built many 4x4's and grew up around Peterbilts. Not the same I know but if you put a 1 ton jeep in front of a semi and squint real hard at night it's kinda the same :roll...
Anyone have pictures of deuces with each or maybe side by side? Trying to figure out if I want to run 47's while its a 6x6 then just have two spares or get 4 49's and do the bob right away.
I wish mine would be that cheap. I turn 24 in April and my insurance is through USAA. They cover a lot and have been good with rates. Granted my record is perfect but I have a 2007 Tundra Crewmax and a 1994 Corvette (26k miles) and they take a testicle every 6 months (700 dollars). Granted I...
