I found a used bracket on eBay. Came off an 85 Chevy Suburban with 6.2 L diesel with a 700R trans.

I've seen it here, but can't find it again.... Planning to put a 700R4 in my M998. Where or who is a good source for a TV bracket for the transmission? Thanks.

The batteries don't seem to go anywhere as far as I can determine.... I have a disconnect behind the USB console.

Installed new battery cables. Got them from BatteryCablesUSA. Great site. You specify every part of the cable based on your application. I swear the truck starts better.... Also installed a 24-12v converter and a USB/cigarette lighter console. Will mount the console tomorrow.

I didn't put them on and would like to find out how the right side one comes off....

Kevin, on the right side of the engine there is a heat shield... Did you take it off to get the glow plugs out? And if so how did you get the shield off? I don't think the glow plug removal tool would fit with the shield in place.... Thanks. Sorry to hijack without an answer to your post...

I can test the glow plugs, I was more interested in seeing if I have 24v at the cap that clips on the glow plug. Thanks.

If I pull the cap off of a glow plug and put the red lead from my VOM in the cap and the black lead to ground.....then have somebody turn the key on...should I expect to see about 24v on the meter if things are working normally? Thanks.

Installed the military tach in my M998. Used an Auto Meter gauge cup, 5402 I think. Works great. I like it.

Just put a new tach in my M998. It has the 6.2L with the 3 speed. At 55mph it's turning about 2700/2800 rpm. Does that seem pretty normal? Just curious. Thanks.

They were behind the instrument cluster on the left side. Apparently they are self resetting. After I fought to get one unbolted I guess enough time had passed.... Started the engine and the lights were back on!!. Mess with the horn again tomorrow.

I out on a new aftermarket horn on my M998. It honk OK, then started it and went fir a ride. No Headlights or horn... Is the attached picture a FUSE or circuit breaker. If not where are they. Thanks.

Say its 35deg, F outside in the morning..... On my M998 the glow plug lights comes on,,,then goes out in the normal time. I hit the key and it turns over, but doesn't light right off. Have to crank it over a second time and then it starts... Is this pretty normal ?? Just checking... Thanks.

Can someone tell me the outside diameter of the 3500rpm M998 tachometer body, not the ring that goes around the face. Need the body OD for fitting into a housing. Thanks, guys.
