My alternator gave up the ghost... anyone got one that they want to sell? Used but functioning is all I'm interested in. Doesn't have to be new, pretty, or even pretty new!
Thanks!
Michael
Who in the world can use 6 slantback hatches in Jax? I have a M1026 in Ortega, other than one other in Jacksonville I don't know of anyone that has one in the area!
You don't have any tailgates do you?
This is a no-go. My customs folks dug into this and I don't think I will get them into the country without serious expense. The emissions and DOT issues will eat me alive. Looks like they're going to the Middle East.
Well, two should fit in each 40' container, so I am thinking of shipping them by ocean, its a LONG drive! :-P
I am president of a supply chain management company and we have a NVOCC and Customs Brokerage division which should be of assistance in clearing any hurdles. The big issue that I would...
I pm'ed the guy - I've got a friend in Ecuador and might be interested in the lot, seems like a reasonable investment. Even with the shipping back to the US if I can get 12 sold it would be worth bringing them back.
I'm kicking around the idea of a marine halon fire suppression system under the hood and tied to the "engine fire" light... The possibilities are endless - anyone got any ideas?
Ahhh - because when you take my M1026 and put it together with my new M1A1 tank commander's control panel you have an even cooler M1026.
Now I have to figure out exactly what fun stuff to wire to the switches, lights, and controls on the panel. It can't just sit there taking up space!
I found and bought this on ebay (commanders control panel from an M1A1) - a little green CARC paint and attach it to my radio shelf - voila... official status as a sci-fi nut!
This is camo designed exclusively for desert oasis use - as envisioned by the guy who painted my vehicle and didn't know the difference between sand and brown.
I'm looking for two parts for my M1026 - a set of the brackets that bolt to the rear of the frame for the pioneer tool carrier. They are about 2" square and didn't come with my carrier when i bought it... BUMMER!
I also need the silver bracket that both the PS pump and the alternator bolt to...
I gotta say - your idea is growing on me - if it keeps growing on me you're gonna end up costing me money!!! Ever since you posted about air ride suspension I started thinking about it more and more... There is a definite cool factor in making a change like that - although the bags in my...
I got it in Central Florida - the guy has a bunch of them. Do you want the phone number? I can tell you that shipping it is NOT a viable option for this guy. He had to use a tree limb and block and tackle to get it onto our pick-up and he's located down a dirt road with no way to haul them...
Well this really sucks for both you guys... Sorry to hear about the misfortune.
One thought though. You would really be a bad-ass if you had said "I took off the tips of two fingers 5 years ago on the third to the last cut." I can just see it now, "Damn - there went two more, better drive on...
Oh boy - I just gotta ask... WTF???
Just kidding - it's your beautiful high performance off-road vehicle, you can destroy it if you want to! Actually, I guess your name sort of says it all - welcome to the board! ;-)
