Had some problems with my tractor today :(

To be honest I can't remember. However, I did try jiggling the gear lever, because there was one time a while back when I had a no-start. Turned out that I had left the truck in reverse.

Had some problems with my tractor today :(

It's a Kats 1000w freeze plug heater. After I installed it and used it for the first time, I did feel the engine block, and it was very warm. However, I have not tested it again since. I will do that after work today. Maybe it burned out already because it was faulty, or maybe the plug somehow...

Had some problems with my tractor today :(

Yup. I drain them after every use. Usually only get moist air coming out... Never any liquid water. Air dryer blasts out a decent amount of water when I am around see it. That's an interesting idea about removing the PPV valve. However, wouldn't that make the CTIS system go into action sooner...

Had some problems with my tractor today :(

I see. As far as the batteries are concerned, they are the original military batteries. I have not tested them, but they have been working fine. Maybe they should to be replaced.

Had some problems with my tractor today :(

Well.. I'm an idiot. After searching using different terms, I found the valve in question. PPV. And a link brought me to one that looks exactly the same as mine> http://www.vanhorntruckparts.com/product/20777/PR-2-Pressure-Protection-Valve/ It seems that this problem is not too uncommon...

Had some problems with my tractor today :(

Drove it to work this morning, as I have done since Monday. Everything functioned as it should (except for the lame stock heater.) It was 20 degrees when I left for work this morning, and it was only 28 degrees when I came back to the shop after I completed my job for the day. Parked my work...

Split rim bolts, O ring, nuts

Good to know! I always wondered if there was a way to tell which wheels used which o-ring.

Yeah... I will probably pick up an alternator from you one of these days. And I never did find those heater kits in the classifieds :shrugs:

Changing M931 muffler to spark arrestor

Ah. My bad. You said M931 in the first post, so I didn't realize you had an A2.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Drove my truck to work again today.. Man that block heater is ineffective :( This morning it was between 25 and 30 degrees. I left it plugged in for 9 hours last night. Even so, the temp gauge didn't move at all until I was just pulling into the parking lot at work (2 or 3 miles from my house.)...

Changing M931 muffler to spark arrestor

Ha. Hopefully it's not too loud for you :) The NHC250 isn't exactly a quiet engine even in stock form.

923 front end engaged all the time

^^What he said. When you are in low, the front axle automatically engages. Switch position on the dash is meaningless at that point.

    Intake Stack and Pipe Mods

Sorry! Somehow I completely forgot to respond to you :( I can't post links to eBay here.. It is frowned upon. However, if you do a search there for 8" military intake, you will see what I am talking about. I ended up picking one up to take a look at. When I looked over the truck the other day...
