    Armored interior/dome light

I had no idea there were multiple versions. Glad I ended up getting the older single-wire version that uses regular bulbs :)

    Height reduced M939

They are designed to fit into shipping containers, so everything can fold or be removed. Windshield folds, top comes off, intake pipe comes off, muffler top pipe comes off, etc. So it's pretty much possible to have nothing above the height of the drivers seat.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Ha.. Boss works in a different building, so he never saw it. But my co-workers loved it 8-) And yeah, it will eventually be my daily driver. After driving at night twice in a row (drove it to work again today) I am in love with the Truck Lite LED headlights... Man are they awesome! Absolute...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Yup. Every single light on this truck works except for the 2 rear running lights. Taillights are as new, still grease on the bulb sockets. Was seeing no voltage at the connectors for the wires that control the running lights. Figured I would throw in the NOS switch that I had laying around...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Earlier today I reinstalled the heat shield for my muffler, which was sitting inside my house since I repainted it a while back. I was too lazy to go out and install is previously, plus we had snow, etc. Also installed my NOS 3 lever switch. Fairly easy to do. However, it did not solve my...

Two questions: 3-Lever Switch; Filter Upgrade Cage?

I was able to do it without issue earlier this morning. I saw what you meant about stuff getting in the way.. Even so I was able to get it done in less than 15 minutes. Unfortunately, it did not fix my issue with the rear running lights not working :( But hey.. At least I have a new switch :) I...

    Building Deuces Normandy 1944

Thank you! I had never seen that before. It's easy enough to focus on the main battles, etc. But you often forget the logistics behind it all, and all the hard work put in by those that weren't on the front lines.

    Towing question

Buy an M939 series to tow it next time. Problem solved :) 5 ton will tow it down the road even with all the wheels ripped off. Mine is only a bare bones tractor, but it still weighs over 20,000lbs. More than a match for a HMMWV.

So I just bought a HEMTT....

Two questions: 3-Lever Switch; Filter Upgrade Cage?

I plan to install my new 3 lever switch tomorrow before the family arrives. Is there anything special that I need to know? (tips or advice) Also, I bought the filter upgrade cage from Those Military Guys. A search brought up filter #AF25354 by Fleetguard. Is that the correct filter to use with...

    I want a shorter deuce

You know what I want to see? I want to see someone with one of these short or bobbed trucks set it up like a front end loader.. Get rid of the steering up front, put in a straight axle to replace the steer axle, then build a giant articulating joint in the center of the truck with hydraulic...
