m998 Solenoid Wire ( 74A ) Hot All The Time

You mentioned a 200 amp alternator in your first post (and it does make a difference, so thank you for specifying that) Here is the manufacturer's troubleshooting guide. Just follow what it says https://www.ceniehoff.com/Documents/Ctrl_Hyperlink/TG17_uid252021123202.pdf

    Bad generator or voltage regulator

if it's the 200 amp alternator, then follow this guide to troubleshoot https://www.ceniehoff.com/Documents/Ctrl_Hyperlink/TG17_uid252021123202.pdf

    *1990 M998A0 Refresh*

215-220 is normal operating range. If it goes above 230 then you can start to worry, but below that you'll drive yourself insane chasing issues that don't exist trying to keep it running at lower temps than it's designed for.

    Steelsoldiers’ BIG M1152A1 HMMWV Project!!

You might look through this thread to upgrade to the newer style of rear bracket that goes further down to the block, rather than the exhaust stud. I replaced the exhaust stud several times, including with higher grade stud, and still sheared it because the exhaust manifuld isn't perfectly flat...

For tires I bought from Feltz. Great customer service, and you can buy tires with guaranteed date codes and 100% tread for a pretty good price. https://feltztire.com/

    Fan clutch bleeding

agreed; it's a dead end system, and as long as it has pressure that's all it cares about. The air will compress, and eventually it will bleed itself given enough cycles.

M1152 fan clutch is kicking my as@!

Is there 24V going into the cadillac valve? If no power, then it won't disengage the clutch. 2 places that it gets power, through the TDM and the thermoswitch. If either fails then you'll either get voltage 100% of the time or 0% of the time. Check for power going into the thermoswitch, and...

    ON BOARD AIR?

Short answer is no, you need a battery. Longer answer: That 45 amps likely doesn't any electrical surge at startup into account, as it's momentary, but it's unlikely the Orion is designed to handle that type of momentary power spike. Part of the reason you hook an air compressor like this...

    ON BOARD AIR?

To get 12V power you'd either have to wire in a new power outlet off just the rear battery, or pull the passenger seat to access the batteries every time you wanted to use it. Max power is listed as 540 watts, so on 12V that comes to 45 amps draw. It's usually considered to not be a good idea...

current Rhino/Rico spare tire carrier value?

I don't have a rear bumper so I can't mount one, but it's definitely good info and I think I even downloaded all the images and links at some point in the past.

    HMMWV magnesium runflat inserts

I believe the 3 part ones are aluminum, not magnesium. https://www.easternsurplus.net/PartDetails/6715/HM-981-HMMWV-Runflat-Kit The earliest version was a 2 piece magnesium run flat. General consensus on these is to scrap them out or use them (small pieces only) as fire starter material...

M1123 not running smooth starve to fuel.

No other fuel filter, unless you count the "sock" on the end of the fuel pickup tube in the tank. I'll agree that the fuel check valves and tank need checked. If the fuel filter had gunk in it, then the gunk had to come from somewhere. It's unlikely, but also check the air intake system as...

    Ambulance accessory plug

I have yet to have an issue with mine. There should be a 15 amp fuse in the nato plug portion of it that will, in theory, blow before any other issues occur. RAK15 is rated at 15 amps, so it is a little close, but as I said, no issues with mine yet, including having it operate while playing out...

    Ambulance accessory plug

That's the cable I'm using with an adapter for my RAK15 or my chinese diesel heater when camping. It's rated for 15 amps power. I believe it's designed to be used with a battery or radio charger.

Log of my M1165. Project Joshua.

Not sure the actual amount of time it takes, as I usually turn it on just as soon as the glow plugs stop cycling, and don't use any water out of it for at least an hour. The food is going to depend on multiple factors, because the food is in a pan, inside of the warmer, and so there will be...

Log of my M1165. Project Joshua.

I have the RAK15 mounted in my truck, but it's not the best mounting and a little unconventional. Currently I have a 40mm can bolted to the top of my radio tray as lockable storage. I then used standoff nuts on the posts on the back of the RAK15 and bolts into them from the side of the ammo...

    Best sealant/glue for ducting

If it's something you might possibly need to remove at some point in the future, epoxy is a bit overkill I like using DAP Ultraclear or Lexel clear sealant on things. Great, flexible bond, but can be completely removed later if needed (unlike RTV) EDIT: it was silicone I was thinking of when...

Looking for help with 4L80E transmission on an M1123 HMMWV

Found this https://forums.g503.com/viewtopic.php?t=325086 basically AB, AC are for turbo trucks, BA, BB are for non turbo. All that changes are the shift points

Can’t find any info on a switch present on my Humvee

Where did you acquire the truck from, and have you tried operating the switch to see what happens? That looks like a good place for a security switch to interrupt the starting circuit.
