need some help choosing a truck

LOL and you think I did . A few little things like a career, family and life in general seemed far more pressing than a green hobby. Be patient it will come in it's own time. Even now working on my 5ton is always the last thing that I have time for but, I enjoy it none the less......Good luck..

need some help choosing a truck

On the junk yard one you can bet it has no title and that means IF your state will even issue a salvage title it will cost you more than just the truck price so add it in. If you have your mind set on getting one go for the running Deuce and just buy the bed off the junk yard. With that said I...

    M923A1 Business Advice

I think it is a great idea and you should move forward as swiftly as possible. The right safety steps and you could really make this plausible. I wonder how they stop the diesel fumes from making everyone sick! it may take adding an extension to put it a little farther away. I can see a profit...

    6 year old gasoline...

Ok I may be totally wrong but, gas that old is sure to be a major pile of gummy varnish with the diesel an organic nightmare, alcohol is for ever the same as long as it's sealed. I really wouldn't want that fuel in my truck at all. If it is still good why is it free? 6 years ago it was...

    Little Stuck

Okay I have to ask did the winch get you out of that mess. Which I know better than to ask but WHY would you think you could make it through that bottom less pit? My answer would be because it was there :)

    Rusty nuts and bolts

Its a shame the guys in the motor pool didn't ask you for advice. The numb skulls broke off not one but FOUR bolts even with the instrument panel . I am putting off that job for a day when I just need to have a reason to rant and rave about something :)

    M923 Safety Issue?

First off I commend you on the fact that you were one of the few to be smart enough to do your home work before you jumped in. There is no way to learn unless you listen and many really don't listen well enough. The study does show a significant increase and is the key factor in adding ABS...

Super Single Tire Pressure / Static Load Radius

The one thing unless I missed it be brought up is the tire it's self. You are running a tire that wasn't meant to on a deuce to start with. You can air down a tubed tire to a fairly low pressure with out it breaking the bead due to the tube is creating the seal at low speed as well as high...

    lifting a stock deuce

Not to be rude but,I like Surgell's comment . Try buying and driving one first. You can put bigger tires on almost any MV but it comes a a cost in money and or performance. When you up a tire one size you are losing torque but not all that much. The larger the size the more torque you lose...

Super Single Tire Pressure / Static Load Radius

My 14-20,s are set at 30 psi per instructed but they are on the 923 series and not a deuce . I Know 10 psi in the back is not near enough pressure to run in them. Look on the side of the tire and it should tell you what to run in them regardless of what they are on.
