I urge you to use ex stream caution In your stripping process the stuff you are about to start sanding on may cause you some really nasty side effects. If you don't believe me then do some digging and see. Why would you want to remove the paint to start with? If it is chipping or cracking then I...
well you can finally breath that first breath of fresh air and have that long sigh of relief. All that you went through may now seem worth it. I know nothing will rip your guts out faster than being all alone on the road and crap starts happening. Trust me.....been there done that. good luck...
I have to agree the fact that they would allow an open cab concept is just stupid. Haven't they watched to way the Afgan fighters hide in the hills and shoot down on their enemy. Nope they must have more drivers than trucks is all I can say about that
The truth is I would not bob either one for the purpose you described. These trucks are great for just what you want the way they are. Why would you want to lighten the truck if your going to be pulling and stopping with 4 tons behind you? I would leave the truck just like it is, not chop cut...
The question is how good of shape is it in? The price is good IF the truck is mechanically sound and not a rust bucket . Are the tires good or dry rotted ? I wouldn't pay any price until I went through it with these questions answered. But that's just the way I do things .........
H7 Means it has been deemed unworthy of any future repairs or upgrades . Which in military terms means we have been given money to buy better toys and you can have our old ones. Like some kids some of the toys are in great shape and some you can't find all the pieces to put it back together...
No and no the main danger here is( separation) not the tire going flat . The tire has seen it's usefulness and needs to be retired to farm use not on the highway. A little dry rot is still a sign that the tire is becoming unstable . If we were talking about using these on the highway and it...
Lucas is in my humble opinion one of the best products on the market. Seafoam never made much of a difference to me. I do use a diesel fuel injector cleaner and octane boost combination by Lucas that really seems to do the trick.
I believe Spartan-185 hit the nail on the head. A friend and I have discussed this very topic . If you wanted one you should have bought it before now because the prices are going to be at a premium for the next couple of months . The fact that anyone who stumbles across this site also sees the...
I have an account with my local Sherwin Williams and going on Beerslayers formula had a gallon mixed up. Even the clerk said you know this is really flat don't you I smiled and said I sure hope so . I did a test spot and have to say it seems to match really well. I tried Rustoleum and Krylon...
Welcome to the site . I hope you don't judge us to harshly (Some) of us do tend to be a little hard on new people . From what you described about the truck you couldn't give it to me. If it has sat that long to the point of what you indicated I would pass . You will have far more money and time...
It sounds like you need to trust the GPS and start replacing parts one at a time starting with the cable . Most times it is the culprit with winter the grease may be hardening or just worn out. considering you replaced the cable already then you may want to look closer to the back of the...
I don't pay much attention to either . When I got my 923 it had the tachometer and the speedometer crossed up . no telling how long it had been that way . Also how many times have you seen new gauges beside old or broken ones . Just saying the odds aren't good either way
Nice truck, it is becoming a common post on hear with the empty tanks . I have to wonder if someone is draining the fuel out and into their own stock pile ........Just saying at 4 dollars and better it adds up quick.
