Well done! A printed housing like this would be ideal for the GPS speedometers on the market that require an RF signal-transparent housing (no metal). Sir, in my mind you have moved "printed parts" from the 'gee that's neat' category to the 'WOW that's great' category.
If a manufacturer gets pestered too any times by someone chasing obscure and non-profitable information, the result is the door being slammed for future information of a more necessary nature. Steve knows his axles.
Thanks for the effort ELovell. I just received two of the Haldex valves from CBT. Not installed yet, but they look correct.
BTW, this is the same over-pressure valve used on a 406 Unimog, and therefore 'might' be applicable to an SEE FLU-419 excavator too.

Good looking truck! Congrats.
I was in Sweetwater yesterday. maybe 10 miles up Hwy 11 from you? My wife took me to Long John Silvers for Fathers Dad. Yeah, I am a cheap date.
Let me know when you have it roadable and we can take our trucks for a spin.

How are your batteries? If the batteries are tending toward high cell resistance due to old age or poor charging history, the voltage regulator sees the charge voltage peak out of range and cuts back on alternator output. The dash meter can drop well into the yellow. If you are just sitting...
Welcome! I'm little further off I-75, and probably N of you. We have members with HMMWVs in the Knoxville Military Vehicle Club. http://www.knoxvillemilitaryvehicleclub.com/
You should join us on some events.

It is probably not a coincidence that on a 406 Unimog those subsystems are all "beyond" the over-pressure valve. That's the valve that allows air to pass only after reaching a preset pressure. 70 psi comes to mind. The purpose, of course, is to delay supply to secondary functions to...
Poor idle without choking plus no effect from idle mixture screws is a sure sign of plugged idle jets. Those are under the removable cover on the front of the carb. Easy to clean with just a 10 mm wrench and flat screwdriver.
Putting on the choke transfers the mixture source to the choke...
I have three 406 mogs with OM-352 engines. They all take many seconds to show gauge pressure. 11 seconds seems like longer than mine though, but that time is dependent on idle speed. I think you are seeing normal operation. I have 70's model 406's so you need comparisons to later model SEEs...
From what i have read the EP additives only become an issue for higher temperatures, like 300 deg F. Not an issue for suspension components. I would want to use EP grease, not avoid it.
I have two that leak. With the screws at the ends, the cover warps and loses the seal and air leaks out. I cut a thin gasket and installed gasket with sealer. It's a very simple over-pressure valve but watch out for the big spring when you take out the screws. You don't even have to take the...
In picture number 2, that non-terminated fitting is an exit vent from the brake treadle valve. Nothing missing I think. I had a bad leak out of that fitting and the problem was sand and gravel in the treadle valve. Of course there are no brakes (except the parking brakes lock up) if there is...
Back to basics. You need to do some precise voltage measurements, including the following:
At the battery box:
- 12v battery voltage with engine off. Should be 12v or a little higher.
- 24v battery voltage with engine off. Should be 24v or a little higher.
An LMTV will start even if one...
