You might as well since I plan to have the rally every year on the same weekend... :)
We have a large fire ring over by the river on the backside of one of the orchards that we could use as a gathering place for those who wanted to make some music and/or take a night ride/roast...
I'm at Bragg often. I've picked up these trailers before, they tow very well behind a Suburban... :) I'm in Raleigh, but could meet you on I95 at US64 (aka, Rocky Mount) on July 7, since I am headed east that day. Otherwise, it could be picked up at my place...
Just thought that I would pop in and mention that the website has had a bunch of updates made (daily schedule, photos from last year, etc.). Still need to put the t-shirt design up for this year (I have it in hand, just need to scan it and send it to Amnon...).
I'll be on-site this weekend...
I have a really long line made up with a commercial Parker fitting so that I can snake fuel to my MBUs' from the tank of the XM813 with the MKT still atttached... I also have a couple of the military lines. They both work very well... :)
I'll add my welcome as well... :) Bring the truck to Graves for the Labor Day Weekend trailrides and rally. Not all of our riding is on the ridgetops, some is in the orchards and on the local and forestry roads...and they are deuce friendly.
You can also drive it during the truck games on...
I just updated the flyer and the registration form for the event. We'll try to get them on the website next week, but you can see them in PDF form first here... :)
I'll admit to using fir for my M37 and M101A1 wood... Cheap, and a little more flexible (so it doesn't break as easily when you bounce things off it when loading with a forklilft operator who isn't as smooth as you would like). Once you get the paint on it, you can't tell what it is... :)...
I enjoy seeing what everyone is doing for lighting upgrades.
I'm still running Hella E-code H4 lights and am still really, really, happy with both the amount of light put down the road and the pattern...
If you do a seach, you should run into a couple different threads that discuss them, or...
I'm not an expert on the blazers... but:
The blazer is not rated for heavy towing. About the only thing that you can tow that is withen the weight rating of the vehicle is a M416 1/4 ton trailer (it does not have service brakes, just parking brakes). That said, I know that a blazer will also...
I had a pickup at Cherry Point yesterday... :) It was a great experience. Loaded and out the gate one hour after I entered the base (most of the time spent strapping down my load). Only confusion is that he thought I had a Tuesday pickup and I thought that I had a Wednesday pickup...either...
Speeking of food...
Anyone have a real preference for meal times?
I'm thinking 0830, 1300, 1830... but I'm not set in stone, I just want folks to have an idea (including me) of when folks should show up at the MKT. :)
The coffee will be on, and available, much earlier in the morning...around...
I've noticed that the threads for a couple of upcomming events have been relatively quiet. I hope it's due to so many folks having attended in the past that they already know the plan, not that they are skipping the events.
That said, I have more than six signed up for chow...but I still have...
Bring me some beer or suitable substitute and I'll see if I can stuff some oak/maple in the back of the truck for you when I load... I should have room after the sale items and MKT support gear is loaded into the XM813 for several good armloads... :) I have several trees that came down this...
It likely isn't your problem...
But check it (since I had a similar problem once and this was the fix...).
Make sure that the mechanical shut down on the injector pump is completely released. I had a truck once that huffed and never started. After going through the fuel system, I noticed...
Glad to hear that you plan to join us!
As has been mentioned elsewhere, we have trails ranging from orchard roads and state park roads (gravel/dirt) with a few potholes, to a ridge trail that threads over and around a rockfield...and everything in between.
We also have a bunch of other stuff in...
