This is a shot in the dark but a few years ago a friend of mine found one at a farm supply. He then had a machine shop make the nessisary changes to fit ....I know it was not the cheapest way but it at the time it was the only way .........
I think I'll pass again...One it's on the wrong coast , Two this thing seems to be harder to get rid of than a bad habit. Three I'm broke again.........Four to many mechanical bills already, bringing me back to number three .....
Go for it and have fun ...I mean think about it how many of your friends have ever had such an experiance ......... You will never forget it.... I know I would love to do it and it being winter at least it won't be 110 degrees in the cab ....;-)
I'm sorry to say it but you are better of trying to get them to lower the default fee and just pay it as you were unknowingly at fault ...What's the old saying Ignorence of the law is not an excuse to break it ... This applies to this case too....
The cost of the truck would be the long and the short of it .. If you love to take on a hobbie truck and don't put much money in the truckit's self then go for it ....I on the other hand try to find out what the end cost will be , and if it exceeds the fair market cost of the truck you can...
Thanks Feets ,I thought the same thing when they first came out . In the transportation industry 75% of all accidents are backing related . I know it would be a cost effective addition to any big truck ....If I put one on I would want it hardwired though ...Like it was said 2.4 is everywhere...
As I see it if you don't tell then it's not likely to be an issue . The burger guy would much rather give or sell the waste oil away than pay to have it removed .... If you want to mess up a good thing then start talking about it .. Sure as the sunrise you will have every one around you tring to...
I would also use craigs list and E-bay and anyother means to sell are trade it...If it dosn;t move now (TAX) time then you will have a harder time after the checks are gone . Belive me I know ,,,,,,,,
The geat thing is that you are ok,,, the bad is the old girl needs to be put to rest.. Thats far too much damage to be repaired without exceding the value of the truck ...Good part is you will have a parts truck if you get a new one ......
Thanks Dave and I'm glad you had them go out in a safe place ... A good pre trip is the most important part of you having a safe return trip ......Drilled into me for 25 years by UPS :razz::razz:
