Good point about the transfer case.. I wasn't even thinking about that. Would be kind of dumb to take the time to extend the vents on the axles, only to leave the transfer case stock. So I would need to run 4 vent lines up above the "water line," instead of 3. Good to know :)
Changed out my trans oil to normal fluid today, and changed the external spin on filter. Date on the filter showed that the last time it was changed was 2012. Took me 5 hours, including 1/2 hour lunch, 2 15 minute breaks (really hot and humid today,) and 1/2 hour back and forth to the parts...
It's certainly a cool idea :) Though I think I would have boxed out the fifth wheel to drop it down slightly, even at the expense of losing some cargo space. I mean.. It certainly would have more cargo space than it did when I started.. lol :mrgreen:

When my nephew rolled the window up, it must have gotten caught on the inside edge of the trim/weatherstrip. So when I went to open the door the next day, the top half of the window was held in place, and the bottom was moving out with the door. So the window bent a little, then cracked almost...
WOW.. Thank you for posting that picture. I'm going to sound like an idiot here, but I always thought that all of these trucks had the same wheelbase.. I just figured they changed around the stuff that was mounted on the back to configure them into specific models.
One last picture for this thread.. Finally turned it around today.. lol. And if you look real close, you can see the passenger side window that I busted this morning :sad:
So.. I ended up cracking my passenger side window pretty badly this morning. The upper left corner was caught on the weather stripping/trim, and I didn't see it when I went to yank the door open. So I developed a nice diagonal crack, almost from corner to corner :cry:
