Check the injector lines (both ends of each). Look at the nylon lines (check the ends and for pinholes in the lines themselves). Clean it off and run it for a shorter time.
The lines can and do loosen up, crack, etc...
Good luck.
A friend of mine who now lives in Arizona sent me a bunch of photos that he took while he was stationed in Alaska in the Signal Corp as a weather observer in support of the Continental Army Command artic test activity during 1960-61 at Ft.Greely.
The photos are on my website and include such...
Good to hear that this truck found a good home, and that its' not that far away... I hope to see it in it's restored glory soon. :)
Love the avatar photo...
Picking my stuff up on Thursday of this week. Could have done so last week (EUC cleared on Wednesday), but didn't have time to shift my schedule...
Once the paperwork got to Battle Creek, everything went smoothly as usual, getting it to Battle Creek was the hard part (for the first time...)...
John Winslow is working on one right now. Great looking truck. Looked over it two weeks ago when I was at his shop, but didn't have my camera (or the time) to take any photos as I was busy dropping off a truck and picking up some parts.
I have seen many an item that I have bid on (but did not win) come back for sale a few months later... There are a couple items up for sale right now in MD that I was second highest on four months ago that I would be bidding on again except that I purchased some similar units (but not quite as...
John Winslow will have one for sure, as will White Owl. Check also with AMGeneral as he might have one in the back, but I know that he has been cleaning up the yard recently.
I've got a couple from a M37 in the yard, but none from a M35 so I can't be or direct help.
Good luck.
I'll be convoying down from Raleigh with Amnon and Evan (blazer and Unimog) to Zebulon where we will join up with Kenneth and Neil.
From Zebulon, we'll convoy over to Wilson and will hook up with everyone else so that we can make a big splash when we arrive at the airport.
I'm in Kalamazoo...
RE: customer notified (paid in full invoice) 3577
My EUC stutus changed to "Sent to Battle Creek" on 9/17... Longer time to review that I have had for the entire process on all my previous submittals (with the exception for the first one). Now, to wait on the black hole...
Nice thing is...
I talked to Steve about this truck a month ago... He said that it was making a clunking noise in the rear end when he last drove it (about a year ago) and that he didn't know if it was driveshaft related (u-joint) or in one of the differentials. He said that he didn't need it for work...

I had an email from Aaron on Monday saying that my EUC was incomplete and that I needed to sign and return (fax ok) an export letter. Funny thing is that I've had one of those on file for a year or so and was under the impression that that was a one time only piece of paperwork, and I've had...
There are several types of self locking bolts/nuts currently on the market. Many of the ones that ship with replacement u-joint clips are of the type that has a threadlocking compound (Locktite) aready applied to some of the threads. Others are of a type that has slightly deformed thread...
Re: RE: M37 Hardtop
On the top of the window frame there are two clips that are used to secure the canvas straps that keep the soft top from drooping, these will have to be cut off...
The modified CCKW top came with spacers to make it fit to the cab (if you have one of these, they are most...
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Which oil do you use?
Used to run Castrol Agri 15w-40 but then they went up in price from being a buck less a gallon than Rotella to being a dollar more. I'm running Rotella now...
I use a lot of Warren products elsewhere and have studied the specs on thier 15w40 enough...
MEK works well for removing the paint marker off CARC. In my area, they are using a GP-X marker to apply the numbers (and the imfamous "don't run" on the doors of one rig I purchased...). 3M Adhesive remover works well for pulling the glue residue off (and the sticer themselves for that...
I've run them, with a fully loaded trailer, at 50psi, for many a mile at 75mph behind my Cummins powered M37 without any problems...
You're talking more money than folks in my area charge, but then, I'd be doing them myself anyway... Procedure to mount/demount is the same as for a deuce tire...
Have you just tried the M37/Power Wagon vendors or have you included ones for general 4x4 parts in your quest? Reason that I ask is that the Lockrite model used on these trucks isn't specific to military units, just to the particular Dodge axle used. Anyone who is a Powetrax dealer can get...
RE: Thanks for all the help so far....
Any tire will require a tube in the stock wheel as it is not airtight. You also need a flap. The McCreary (the company actually is Specialty Tire of America) is a great tire, and is of the correct type/specifications.
You can reuse the tube/flap that...
