I had to remove the left caliper to reverse the control arm bolt as it was a tight fit.
Which winch mount are you using? First style mile marker cradle with built in face plate or the later model separate flat face plate?
I made a mistake installing the cradle style as I had the mm specific...
My experience with different coatings over carc has been mostly a toss up. I have used Behr latex paint, rattle can from krylon, Rust O leum, and others.
It will initially stick but if there is bare patches of metal, the carc will start to lift at the edges with the other type of paint. In...
This is my opinion only. YMMV
I don't think they are interested in pursing this matter any more as the new law clears the legal hurdles in their mind to the whole question. The original revoked vehicles will have a clear path to re register & New Registrations will be allowed in Jan.
For those...
A friend with the La National Guard also contacted me last week with the same info/warning on the goodyears as he was not sure which tires I was running.
Very interesting to see the Wisc memo also condemning the rims and drawing no distinction as to what type, 12 bolt or 24 bolt D & E. Sounds...
The standard front and rear calipers is a different animal than the parking brake caliper. You will need to find a mil spec or h1 hummer early style parking brake caliper.Epay has new ones available from several vendors complete with pads in the $170 range

A local member gave me a set of the rear tailgate brackets. I took the part numbers and ran a search. They came back as part of a rear combat id panel kit for a hmmwv.
Greetings from the other side of the pond!
Those are part of the combat id thermal louvered panel holders. Used on rear tailgate, sides, x doors, hood and front brushguard. Not very common as required to be removed per demil requirements. The id panels are very scarce.
If you remove the ones...
another member here had those. I think it fits the plgr plastic mount as it is also 6 screws. I had not yet tried to verify. I tried to find a reference in any of the radio tm's but was unsuccessful.
Non detergent oil is used for some air compressors, machinery, and very old applications. It has absolutely no additives, just plain ole oil. Anything modern requires anti foam/anti wear, and detergent additives for long life. Unless your case is from the 40-50's, it will not be happy...
My wait light would only come on for a nano second. Almost could not see it in bright sunlight. My glow plug temp sensor was the problem in the water crossover pipe. The big sensor with 1-1/2 hex and multiple wires with a big black cap. YMMV
How is your water table? Is the ground underneath packed or
rocky underneath?
Where I live the ground and watering table have accelerated cracks but to be fair it is already started. Your wrecker is twice the weight of my 5 ton. Take it easy and slow might help.
The water pump pulley is out there. It is actually assigned 2 different nsn and part numbers. OE Amg makes it (typically black) and it is also a red dot made item (typically silver).
I think amtak who is a member here sells them on epay. Also try...
For the piece of mind they give, leave them in.
A guard ? hmmwv in NJ a few years ago lost a wheel/rim/hub on the turnpike, flipped on its side and pinned a service person under it. I believe she lost her arm. Just a fyi that things can change in a minute and these trucks don't have much...
Yes, You have the opposite. You have the airlift angle brackets which are not needed for the mwo reinforced straight bumper. Just remove brackets and re bolt latches and you will be perfect.
I think you need to loosen the bolts on the slotted rear bracket and juggle till it lines up then retighten.
check my thread for pics and pictures of the brackets you need for the pioneer tray when used with an airlift bumper. I got mine from Kascar but I understand the price went up alot.....
