    Get a start time delay module for your A/C compressor, a 24 volt coil 30 amp contactor for the water heater, when your A/C thermostat calls for cool, the 24 volt signal needs to immediately drop out the water heater contactor, then seconds later the compressor contactor energizes.

    Poor thing is probably 70 years old. It was tired of capacitatin'. Only drawback of not having it is possible popping in your AM radio reception.

    Your local NAPA will have a socket for the Budd thimble, it might be 3/4 or 1" drive however. They might also have a new tire tool.

    Those are very capable machines. I have the somewhat newer Case M4K and cylinder repacks and hose replacements are putting me in the poor house.

    I went with the stock size which I believe is 3”, goes under the cab and up behind the cab like an 18 wheeler. Keeps the noise in the rear view. Works great with 185 hp LDS power.

    Ya gotta use maintainers with these or 2 years is about it. Most of us are going to group 31s. Some of us are going to group 31 AGMs, with a maintainer, those can last 6-8 years.

    That is a straight cool/electric strip heat unit. Heat is 12,000 watts (12 kW) and cool is 6 kW give or take. Generator needs to exceed cool kW by X1.5 ish for start surge handling. Edit: math mistake
