My own.
Second owner, first got it from auction and legally titled it in California. Road title, chp blue tag. Ventura County.
I owned it for 2 years, chp put a hold on the title because it was legally parked at a grocery store. They said that because of AM General's letter to all states...
See above. This is unfortunately incorrect. The chp is actively removing road legal registration and reissuing off road only titles.
I personally have had enough of the authoritarianism and high taxes, and am removing myself and my family from the state tax base.
California itself is a...
That's right.
When you have a vehicle that doesn't have a vin number, or one that has less than 17 digits as of now, you take it to the highway patrol and they inspect it. They make sure it meets all of the road requirements, such as lighting/bumpers/seat belts etc.
If it meets all of the...
California is now cracking down on Hmmwv's.
On road title that was obtained legally with a blue California vin tag that has been good for the past couple years flagged (no reason presented). Only option given is to accept OHV title. I spoke with a vin officer I know, he indicated that...
Here's a left field:
Noticed binding and a little noise from my pump a while ago. Checked fluid, looked good. No leaks. Potential air in system? Bled it using the manual standard, didn't fix it.
Dug a little deeper, and what do you know, the cheap cast alternator bracket to the power steering...
Just installed some today from jeremy51307 on the bay. Was $465 shipped, now going for $500 even. Can't argue with that price.
Installed fine, I painted them beforehand to match the body. We'll see how they hold up.
I would be interested to see what components you replaced on the board.
Installed a manual setup to get around this, works perfectly but if the unit is fixable then I might as well fix it.
Check that the glow plug harness connection to the plugs is not feeding 24v constant when the ignition switch is in the run position.
It can do this even if your wait to start light is cycling normally. If it is, that's your "smart" box. Workaround is to put in a manual glow plug controller...
Once you fire that led bar up and see the results, I am going to follow suit.
I have the same brush guard as both of you, was thinking about putting a smaller led bar on the bottom of it to light up lower (same thing as the bumper lights are doing) and throwing some cubes on the windshield hinge...
Thanks. Yup, backup camera was a necessity with Bulldogger's soft slantback, he put a solid panel in for me instead of a window (running a spare tire mount, blocked the view anyway).
I used this kit, just painted it carc green to blend in and riveted it to the doghouse cover...
Good choice on the tach, just put mine in. Very nice to know what the revs are. I'm seeing 2850 or so at 55mph.
I used the block heater plenty when the glow plugs went south, starts up instantly.
