Well ... maybe.
I have sounded off a bunch about the way some folks jump all over new guys ... even got banned for it a time or two.
But as a former small businessman ... I gotta agree that its a little low rent to come on a site (FOR FREE) that is pretty much owned and operated by guys that...
HOLD YER FIRE!!!!
The remote system has already been done here about 4 years ago! I did a bit of searching and found this thread:

Unless there have been updates to this system ... it looks like it...
What are you running for fuel?
Do you have any idea of the MPG's you are getting?
What temp are you keeping the exhaust at?
Is there a "T" handle or a knob on the dash for the operator's control?
BTW ... I copied all the pictures you posted ... and I've saved the text of your post to my own...
Not yet ... but only because I had been very busy with school and everything else since your post. I still have it on my list.
How have has your truck been doing with the mod since your last post?

There are two tools I use.
A hydrometer, of the proper range, measures specific gravity.
A Ford Cup (or other) Viscometer measures viscosity.
The Ford Cup is a very simple device … it’s a cup that holds a specific amount of a liquid … there is a hole in the bottom of the cup that can...
THANKS!!!
Actually I was just coming to show you THIS one:
(2) TELEX DBM-1010 Aviation Headsets w/ RST-442 Intercom Sys & PT-300 PTT Switch | eBay
I just got to look it up and see what the specs are.
Thanks again

I would love to put an intercom system in my truck and I've been looking at a number of options.
What are the parts/brands/costs of the stuff you used for your intercom system?
Can you link a car radio/cd player into it?
How about a CB radio?
Thanks

Gasoline is your best choice as a thinning agent.
Since the specific gravity and viscosity of diesel is your target range ... if you thin with diesel ... you'll require more diesel to get close to its range.
Further, the BTU's, lubricity, and auto ignition point of waste oil is so high...
The easiest way I've found to separate oil form water or antifreeze is to mix in little gasoline ... perhaps as little as 10% ... and let it sit overnight.
You don't even need to agitate it ... just pour in the gasoline and it mixes by itself.
Batch size doesn't seem to matter.
Yesterday, I...
Here's a picture of the old rig with the three filters. It was OK ... I guess I ran about 800 to 1,000 gallons through it ... but them WIX filters are kinda pricey.
Also that "house" filter was a PITA! to work with. I've just done about 300 gallons with 3 filter socks ... no muss - no fuss ...
Why not?
I used to have a rig with 3 spin on filters ... I found it was kinda of expensive.
This one is an old fire extinguisher ... inside are 3 socks from Duda Diesel ... and a filter basket I build from 4" PVC.
My pump is a gear pump with a 5 HP Tecumseh.
It works pretty good especially...
I was using 86281 and 86418. Both are WIX numbers and should cross over. In front of those was a house filter using a 20 micron filter. I was using a WIX mount for each ... I don't recall the part number or thread size ... I'll have to look it up.
But I switched out of spin-ons ... I...
Ball valves on EVERYTHING helps a lot. Don't buy plastic ones.
5 gallon plastic buckets are very useful to drain/hang hoses and etc. into.
All dirty rags go into an old coffee can for disposal.
Also ... a couple flat pans under anything you're going to disconnect catches a lot of the mess.
That one is a pretty slick setup.
I made a copy of it using an old fire extinguisher, scrap steel, black pipe and some pvc tubing.
Heating the oil with an element from a household water heater make the oil flow like you know what through a goose.
After installing the electric fans, changing all the filters and doing a little work with my fuel blending process ... Henry has finally broken the 10 MPG barrier! Also holding speeds to about 51 MPH seemed to help a lot.
I am now getting a solid 10.4 MPG on Waste Oil over a 100 mile round...
There may be concerns of road taxes, emissions, or warranty (in the case of motors having a single rail electronic injection system) but I can see no reason why burning properly filtered and properly thinned WMO would harm ANYTHING in diesel engines.
The BTU content of WMO is higher than...
