Before I reinstalled the door panels I had ordered some new seals from Precision Replacement Parts. They fit great and went in with little effort. I think I'll get another pair of vent windows and replace the seals in them to expedite that portion of the job. The windows roll up and down so much...

A little experimentation... I would try again with a heat gun instead of the torch. After trying I scuffed, sprayed adhesion promoter, and sprayed with SEM Color Coat. Just put in an order with Precision Replacement Parts for some seals. Good help is hard to find... :clinto:

M1010 for my daughter the field biologist

I had to notch the alternator bracket as the leece neville 12v alternator is a slightly different shape. Still was a chore to get the belt on but it's tight now. Pretty sure I'm running a NAPA 9585HD belt on mine. I started with the 9590HD and it finally went to the end of the adjustment. As...

Well that sucks! But it's the way things go. I'd like to see the picks of it installed as I got the tall mount with the 700r4 I picked up. Keep up the great work!

With some sanding, scuffing and a lot of cleaning to make sure all waxes and oils were removed... I moved forward with adhesion promoter and started spraying SEM Color Coat burgundy, five coats. I tried to get the SEM to dry spray on my repairs to give those areas some texture but it continued...

Because I had to order some parts to finish the dash I decided to clean it up some. It really only had cracks in it in the speaker grills. I may have gone a little overboard with it...

A little market place shopping yesterday... Picked up a 700r4, a tall transmission adapter, the overdrive shift indicator, a tilt column with 4 spoke steering wheel, and a good used OE dash pad.

Power steering has been great! Nice to not have it randomly not be there. Bleeding was the only challenge as it took a little time to get the hydro-boost (pedal feel) back to where I remember it! I might have a few parts that haven't been utilized just yet... The FUSH kit was one...

Another project that I decided to do since as I driven the truck more and become more comfortable with it was opening the rear wheel openings. I totally stole this from member StevoMT and his build. I had heard the 295/70/17's lightly rub the openings so some angled aluminum, rivets, rivet gun...

Yes, I've been bad about updating since the weather has finally been warm enough to work outside again. Last fall the power steering assist started having a mind of its own. I little nerve racking with the weight of this beast. I did the PSC new delphi pump, replaced all the lines in the system...

The square body NP241 would also work and give you a 2.72 to 1 4 low ratio. Slightly better than the 208 at 2.62 to 1... Good find at the junkyard!!!

From my understanding you shouldn't have to change the driveshafts as the 700R4 and the TH400 are roughly a 1/4" different in length...
