    Ship's engineer M54A1 crash-course.

BTW, if it runs good, it should do 54 mph empty, or 54 mph with the jeep in the back, or 54 mph with the jeep in the back and also towing a deuce.

    Ship's engineer M54A1 crash-course.

If that truck wasn't 800 miles away from me, I would have bid on it. You are going to love the Mack engine. If its cold out, you can use the flame intake heater if it works. If not, just a small snort of ether. It may have an air leak in the fuel system if they say it starts hard. There is a...

M934A2 with 6CTA 8.3L Turbo Diesel will not run

Rumor is that the pick up tubes in the tanks fail also. My wrecker was running great and one day it quit. Couldn't get fuel up the the pump. Transfered the fuel to the other tank and fired right up. I haven't pulled the other tank apart yet but suspect the pick up tube.

Usually the warning plate is on the drivers door. But I have a 2010 USMC rebuild that has lockers but no warning plate.

Deuce Is there a difference between LDS AND LD PISTON AND LINERS?

So it looks as if the LDS piston I have is heavier than the LDT piston that we are trying to replace. The original LDT piston weighs 6.885 pounds with the wrist pin without the top ring (top ring was gone ). The new LDS piston weighs 7.165 pounds with the wrist pin and all of the rings and 7.103...

    Ether Start Assist

Anything much below 40 and they require ether. They are just low compression engines. You can check your exhaust while you are cranking it to see if you get white smoke, which means you have fuel. Nature of the beasts.

    Old style head gaskets

Anyone still researching head gaskets? I've got a set of the tab type, 10951428, and wondered if the new style would be a absolute recommendation.

    M936a2 need Advise

The A2 will do 65 mph on the 1400's. I wouldn't suggest the 1600's unless you were looking for floatation.

I guess I'm going to have to pick up another 5 ton down there for my tradition 1000 mile new years day trip back up north. ;). Wish I could make it Jeff.

M882 stuck on New York docks.

I wonder if the transfer case lever got bumped in to neutral. Sorry I can't check it out first hand.
