We’re looking at retirement location options a few years out. Curious what the feasibility if any is to retain my HMMWV on island.

M1151A1. Radiator brackets have separated from the top tank. I’m looking to solder them back on. Q: Are they riveted together OEM or soldered/brazed?

Finished with steering gear, steering pump, TRE, drag link, Pittman arm, water pump, fan.

I have an 1151A1 with a broken rear variable spring. I’m looking at the standard 10K variable springs vs the HD variable springs. Can the 10K variable springs be used (I’m not planning on running armor or heavy payload on this one). The UOC calls for the HD spring but these are comparatively...

The HMMWV ECV/REV M83P2 steering gear produced by R.H. Sheppard (Spicer CV) cannot be effectively serviced in the aftermarket. Sheppard protects their remanufacturing business aggressively and will not source...
Finally finished replacing the power steering pump. The pulley was so stuck it required removing the cooling stack to get full access. Heat and tools to remove. Old pump bearings were gone.

Steering gear removed for rebuild. Wow. So much structure to the Sheppard ECV/REV gear. Looking forward to having this done.

Old thread I know...
Looking at rollover pictures of LMTV and more recent related fatalities I'm curious if there is a commercially available ROPS/interior cage kit available yet. Easy enough for an experienced fabricator but seems like something MME/others could offer to the aftermarket.
Might be a tad close to the house for noise and fire risk?
Do you have enough room to service the back side of the generator?

Front driveshaft center bearing. Easy procedure but broke my puller in the effort.
Nice article on the procedure:
