What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Ah, slight clarification… The front diff needed to be slightly adjusted where the frame brackets attach. Zero clearance for the LF caliper otherwise. Procedure is in the TM Managed to complete the LF brakes and half shaft bolts this evening. Diff alignment is good now. Have to say I like the...

    MEP-802A Starter problem?

Set ran great for several years. I purchased in WA from GP. Only major work was replacing well nuts, filters and charging the batteries. Fast forward I had a fuel issue a few years ago during the winter that cleared up after replacing the water separator. This summer had a few hard starts...

    MEP-802A Starter problem?

Saw your video on the IP rail. Very helpful [emoji106] I doubt the rail/governor is at fault as the assembly moves freely at the throttle and solenoid arms. Thinking my next step is to remove and clean/inspect IP’s. Good opportunity to replace a seeping low pressure hose assembly. DC is...

    MEP-802A Starter problem?

Lovely job Siri... ;) Fuel stop solenoid is pulsing off of stop when cranking, not holding steady. Verified fuel pump is operational and delivering plenty of pressure to injector pump low side feed. Validated fuel pressure/feed at the filter output line. I was not able to get any high pressure...

Disregard, MIP is functional and starter is no longer dropping out. Why? Not sure. All I did was look at FU1, and circuit breakers for MIP and DC. Going through PMCS now. Replacing fuel filters and oil service. Air filter is fresh/clean.

    MEP-802A Starter problem?

I'm getting into seasonal maintenance a tad late. MEP-802A is acting up a tad. The starter will kick in briefly and then stop when the switch is engaged. Dead crank has no problem engaging the starter continuously. I presume this is a bad solenoid or start relay somewhere. Where do I start...
