    Can’t get this to start…FIXED!!!

Pintle style injectors can stick open. When they do, the compression will be pushed back through the nozzle and into the pump. Maybe try cracking one injector line at a time then try firing it. Don't you love internet troubleshooting?

    Can’t get this to start…FIXED!!!

I do not believe the white is smoke in his video. It does not hang around, it fades away. Pull a sample of fuel into a clean, clear vessel, a dry water bottle works well, from the bottom of the tank. Let it sit overnite and see what it looks like. Could have a good amount of water in it. Won't...

Can you take a video of what it sounds like when cranking? Is there any type of smoke coming out the tailpipe?

Grease shouldn't matter. Did it run before everything you did?

    65 Kaiser M35A2 project starts

It was truly a project truck. Knew it had some issues, but not this many. Good to see it is coming together and into a nice truck.

So who has bumped the power on a 6CTA cummins

Good until a month ago, think I have a pinched nerve, disc issue around C4-5. Mri today. Hows your transplant going?

So who has bumped the power on a 6CTA cummins

Bolt pattern is larger on the P. You will need the pump and support brackets, fuel lines and their supports/isolators, injectors, gear housing, pump drive gear, maybe the drain line for the injectors, supply line from the filters to the pump, and the return fitting....maybe. The above pic is of...

Just got home, woke up at 7 everyone still hibernating, left at 0800. Good trip home. Thanks to all for a great trip. I took no pics, lost my phone on the way to the lakebed yesterday, but found it under the pas side seat this morning. Good to see some old faces and the newer ones too. Thanks...

40 ft 5th wheel travel trailer, 91/15 area to So. El Monte

As the title says, the museum has been gifted a 40 ft Alfa gold fifth wheel travel trailer. It is located close to the 91 and 15 freeway interchange and needs to be moved to the museum in South El Monte. It has new tires but the issue is it has a funky nine-pin plug that I've never seen and...

    Cummins 855ci pistons?

IIRC, about 350 a hole to fix. A cam was around 4k. The cam is a giant heavy chunk of sharp metal.

    Cummins 855ci pistons?

Way cool! 450 or 600.......there was a 750 too. the saying goes, got a "K", gotta pay! Pics or it ain't real!

    Cummins 855ci pistons?

Again, it is not size, it is the bowl design. Yes, there was a 400 magnum, it was a small cam but it liked to eat camshafts. There was also a 440 magnum .It was step time controlled and ate cams faster than the 400. Keep in mind, what I had first hand knowledge on were used on OTR application...

    Cummins 855ci pistons?

Size of the piton is the same, 5 1/2 inch bore, it is the bowl design that makes a difference on the pistons. TriTech changed bowl design to accommodate the ring pack repositioning on the piston. 14:1 comp pistons along with the base timing...IIRC, .065, .067 or maybe .072....might make a...

    Injector sound vs. valve sound

Does it have old or newer style head gaskets? I do know that the old style, when failing, will sound like a loose valve. You'll know the gasket failed when oil starts slobbering down the side of the engine.

Vent Hose and What Else to Check?

You said there is goo under the oil filler. Does the engine have plain water or antifreeze in it? The oil looks clean, almost too clean, like fuel. Blow-by vapor is normal, some engines make more than others. If the truck/engine were washed prior to you getting it, could have got bit of wash...
