Pintle style injectors can stick open. When they do, the compression will be pushed back through the nozzle and into the pump. Maybe try cracking one injector line at a time then try firing it. Don't you love internet troubleshooting?
I do not believe the white is smoke in his video. It does not hang around, it fades away. Pull a sample of fuel into a clean, clear vessel, a dry water bottle works well, from the bottom of the tank. Let it sit overnite and see what it looks like. Could have a good amount of water in it. Won't...
Bolt pattern is larger on the P. You will need the pump and support brackets, fuel lines and their supports/isolators, injectors, gear housing, pump drive gear, maybe the drain line for the injectors, supply line from the filters to the pump, and the return fitting....maybe.
The above pic is of...
I so wanted to take a pic of the last load of wood on the fire, but, the phone was hiding! Those rounds were BIG! and the tire was aired up the following morning.
Next year a tube for the small heart bottles.

Just got home, woke up at 7 everyone still hibernating, left at 0800. Good trip home. Thanks to all for a great trip. I took no pics, lost my phone on the way to the lakebed yesterday, but found it under the pas side seat this morning.
Good to see some old faces and the newer ones too. Thanks...

Again, it is not size, it is the bowl design. Yes, there was a 400 magnum, it was a small cam but it liked to eat camshafts. There was also a 440 magnum .It was step time controlled and ate cams faster than the 400. Keep in mind, what I had first hand knowledge on were used on OTR application...
Size of the piton is the same, 5 1/2 inch bore, it is the bowl design that makes a difference on the pistons. TriTech changed bowl design to accommodate the ring pack repositioning on the piston. 14:1 comp pistons along with the base timing...IIRC, .065, .067 or maybe .072....might make a...
Does it have old or newer style head gaskets? I do know that the old style, when failing, will sound like a loose valve. You'll know the gasket failed when oil starts slobbering down the side of the engine.
You said there is goo under the oil filler. Does the engine have plain water or antifreeze in it? The oil looks clean, almost too clean, like fuel. Blow-by vapor is normal, some engines make more than others. If the truck/engine were washed prior to you getting it, could have got bit of wash...
