Yeah I want to remove those hoses entirely. I’ve already removed SOVs. Removing hoses and capping them at the frame mounted valves shouldn’t be an issue since that would essentially be the same as closing the ball valves (in my mind). Intent being to retain functionality of the trailer brakes...
Ok well thanks for checking on that. I think my issues are likely from me trying to charge the system from the front glad hand and possibly blowing some debris up into the check valves.
ALSO DO NOT BUY A C7 PUMP FOR A 3126 WITHOUT FIRST VERIFYING TEETH COUNT!
the cogs are different for both the drive gear and the pump gear on the used one I purchased.
3126 pump - 30/43 teeth
C7 pump - 23/34 teeth
oil pump not only cracked but broken clear in two!
also this is the upgraded gerotor pump…
and i should also note, i had no indication of this just found some metal on the drain plug, pulled the pan and saw the crack.
dang ok well let me know if you get a chance. i removed mine and now having some issues with parking brake setting but starting to think it’s an unrelated issue and likely a bad check valve or 2 way valve up front.
Are these used in this location pictured for A1 trucks also? Mine looks like it should have a bushing or something here where the cab connects to the horseshoe but there’s nothing and the clevis is very loose.

Huuuuge thank you to @fuzzytoaster and @GeneralDisorder for answering my numerous messages and getting me squared with software and test equipment. Finally pulled the codes for the CEL and intermittent power loss issue.
Yes I remember mine being around 40psi at idle. Pump won’t be in until tomorrow and I will be going out of town next week so not sure how much I’ll be able to get done this weekend. I’ll post some pics here though.
We’re on the same wavelength yeah. I also have a Duramax with turbo brake and it’s great. Only sound it makes is when you tap the accelerator and you can hear the vanes open back up.
I think maybe you’re getting confused with jake brake. The exhaust brake shouldn’t be loud like a jake brake that uses valves for compression braking in the engine.
I found it because I found metal debris on the chip collector when changing the oil. Decided to pull the pan to have a look around but did not see the broken tooth or the crack or anything else so closed it up. When torquing the pan, one of the bolt holes must have been over tightened in the...
