Over boosting with a huge turbo, would show up with low EGT temps but with lack of power, without the addition of more fuel. When you add fuel to your high boost pressures, the EGT goes up. 15-20lbs of boost should be fine for this engine, but I don't know how much more boost would cause head...
I 'll post a pic later of second gear and the main shaft that doesn't get enough lubrication. (my theory) The second gear has the modification notches cut into it also, so that didn't help. Im leaning to running a lighter oil since I dont drive on the highway, and the temps around here are mild...
Found one at Memphis Equipment. Brand new! Boyce had a new shaft also on sale for 50$. so when I get the parts, i'll be back pulling Tamarack and Hemlock out of the forest for next year...in 3 feet of snow.
Good read. One thing I noticed is that on the frame extensions, there might be a shim under each side of the winch to keep it level in the frame. This would keep the yoke/shaft a little lower. Are they welded on the extension? and can you add a little to move the front up and the rear down?
North 40 in spokane sells PTO shafts and parts. You can make up one to fit. thats what im doing for my PTO generator right now. Also you can jack up one side of the axle to watch the flex.
