    Winch Questions

Maybe you have a different driveline and yoke than the original one. I don't have a PTO winch, without pics, its hard to tell. It would seem something wrong if it has no clearance at the bell housing on one side, and none on the steering box side, then it would make sense that the winch needs to...

    11.00x20 tire chains

I have four links that I dont use, so its a good fit. Im not running NDT's Im running Michelins 11x20, so yours may be loose. If they were tight, you can go to a tractor supply outlet, or what ever its called, and buy a few repair links and add to them for a few $$$.

    A3 aluminum tank on A2

If anyone is having a hard time with their fuel tank, a welding shop can whip one out of 11 gauge steel for a couple hundred bucks if you don't mind drilling the holes for the fuel pump to save labor costs. you could also install a access cover right over the center baffle and clean both sides too.

M35A2 goes "clunk clunk clunk" in Reverse

Yea. its called a short shaft, jack shaft, and a companion shaft depending on who you are talking to. its only about 1 foot long, but when someone uses a cheater pipe on the bolts AND nylocks, its no fun getting it out.

    centrifuge versus sock filtering.

I probably will. Im still looking at all his stuff and experiments he's done. I also got to finish a few months worth of maintenance and repairs on my tractors and Deuce (transmission) here first before starting another project.

    centrifuge versus sock filtering.

I have been thinking about the sock filters because of the cost, and also converting a electric water heater to help remove water and settle some debris, instead of a Imhoff settling tank. My problem is that Id like to get below 1 micron, that a high speed centrifuge is capable of doing with the...

    centrifuge versus sock filtering.

interesting site. I was really getting into his distilling tower, then he stopped when he was building the one with packing. He didn't say why the #3 test was unsuccessful. He also had to centrifuge the guy's homemade diesel for quite some time, (2 gallons over a hour, i think it was) so Im...

    centrifuge versus sock filtering.

Your experience with cleaning waste oil using a motor driven centrifuge or a series of sock/basket filtering down to 1 micron filters. I dont want to include lube pump driven centrifuges because of they are only in the bowl a few seconds, compared to a motor driven centrifuge that has 3-4...

5ton to m35 power steering upgrade

GMC metric version of the 710 steering box used on older IH trucks. Waterloo industries sells the kit and individual parts. Things you don't need is a 18 inch steering wheel. BFD 2 inches smaller. I can suck my gut in 2 inches to save 200$. Im sure you can rework the steering column also and ad...

5ton to m35 power steering upgrade

Dont give up...the pump is one of the components. do a research on the steering boxes as there is a GM box that is a replacement for it. You have to build or buy the support bracket for it and a pitman arm? also. Since you have probably half the parts needed now, it just a matter of getting the...

    Changing fuel filters

Disconnect the fuel lines and filter housing, place it in a vice and go for it. worse case is the the fitting in the housing will unthread too, and you'll have to replace that part, or the whole thing will break.

    WMO pump to drive centrifuge

I got a lot to learn about cleaning up oil and removing the water. https://www.machinerylubrication.com/Read/503/removing-water-in-oil What Ive learned is that with a centrifuge purifier, detention time is important to remove the solids, and venting for the water vapors. So how does a pump...
