It most likely was a MERDC pattern. They were often brushed-on, free-handed jobs done in the motor pool by the lowest ranking soldier. (not a factory applied paint job) A search for MERDC will give you lots of info.

Maybe you could edit the the title of the thread to indicate a decision is made on the dates to avoid new confusion.
For example, change from "Set a date, Haspin 08" to "Haspin 08, June 19-22".
