Here is your answer...
OD 3/4 - 16 (the size of the hole in the shifter)
ID 9/16 - 18 (the thread size on the actual switch)
I had to make my own bushing using my lathe... it was a PIA even though I cnc'd it. I searched literally everywhere and nobody has a threaded adapter with those...
I have the actual HMMWV switch you're showing.... It's missing the threaded bushing. So i'm wondering besides making a custom one, where can you find one without having to buy an entirely new switch?
I have a switch that i bought from ebay that is missing the threaded reducer bushing. Autozone, O'Reilly, etc. did not have anything that would mate to it. I also called OSH equipment and they could not find any part number or bushing by itself. So besides having to make a threaded bushing on...
i've run without the y pipe and with the pipe minus muffler and it's annoyingly loud both ways. This was on a 6.5NA... I think it sounds just right with the exhaust system intact.
Ok, I checked all cables and items for the rattle and all good there. Removed the TC cover and noise is still there, so must be something inside rattling.

Not sure if you can hear it, but I have a rattle in one of my 3l80 transmissions. Sounds like its something internal, but it drives fine. The rattle is only at certain speeds and throttles, and it gets annoying. This tranny had this rattle when I got it, so I rebuilt it and it still has the...
I picked up the same alternator which oddly had a different model number than the 1st one. Everything was the same except the positive cable stud on the back was bigger. The new Delco reads 27.32v and is running normal. I also bought a new 24v regulator for the 1st delco that was showing 24v...
So the last couple days i have been able to get the batteries back to 12v+ each and here are the numbers after letting the engine idle for 10 min.
ENGINE RUNNING (NO HEAT)
Alternator - 25.02v
Batteries - 25.04v
ENGINE RUNNING (HEAT ON)
Alternator 24.73v
Batteries - 24.80v
Weird how the...
Not impossible I was sent the wrong one, but if you did put a 12v alternator on a 24v system... would it even start or work at all. I wouldn't think so, right?
