    Paint By Numbers Camo

Doing the top side is easy, you just have to jack the rear of the truck way, way, way up in the air! And yes, the TC tablet is great!

    Paint By Numbers Camo

I've got an A3 that the owner wants done in an arctic camo paint scheme; white, gray and black. With the camo layout pictures in TB 43-0209, I used my notebook computer and projector to display the image on the truck so I could trace the color outlines.... It worked great!

    Clepto's Bobber

I make my lift blocks, welded to factory made spring plates. I've been making trailers out of deuce beds. I use two M105 frames grafted together (to get the correct length), mounted on a deuce bogie (with the axles pulled). Brakes, lights, the shebang!

    Where can I find....

I spent about $1.25 each on the flange nuts I purchased from Fastenal. They are grade 8 3/4-16 with a zinc finish, but I don't see them on their website. I'll check to see if I kept the receipt with the part numbers. The nuts I just pulled off some A3 wheels were locknuts, but I don't think the...

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

Here's the MF pistons. They are flat topped, with a round "hole" in the center and a "ramp" that swirls into the hole. The arrow points to the ramp.

    Hot rod deuce

Although you'd loose multi-fuel capability, I've got a feeling that if you switched to the White tractor pistons you could up the RPMs a lot before you snapped the rod big ends. I suspect the pistons in the White tractor motor are a whole lot lighter than multi-fuel ones.

M35 won't steer to the right?

I think you're all wrong! Obviously this is one of the very, very rare deuces built for NASCAR.... so it only turns left!

How to: Hub Flip Inner bearing stays inner, outer stays outer. The inside diameter of the bearings is different but the races (or cups if you like) are identical.

    GL-1 Gear Oil Alternative

Rockwell, the manufacturer of your T136-21 transfer case states 80w or 90w GL-1 or.... 30w, 40w or 50w CD spec oil (diesel motor oil). Attached is the page from the Rockwell manual.

what to do with surplus Beds and Trailers?

Some answers: The Rockwell axles are "semi-floating" meaning that the hubs are supported by the axle tube not third member or axle shafts, so those things can be removed. Rockwell axles are square tubes that are 3.5". M105 axles are round tube and about 4.5", they won't mount in the bogie...

    Aftermarket Winch

I'm preparing to add an electric winch to my bobbed deuce. I considered both an electric and a stock pto winch. The price of both are very similar, although an electric winch that has pulling power approaching the stock pto one can easily be more (than a used stock winch). The thing that made...

what to do with surplus Beds and Trailers?

4x4e350, I'll give you a pair of M105 axles, but you've got to figure out how to get them home!

what to do with surplus Beds and Trailers?

For every two bobbed trucks I build, I put together a trailer. I "graft" together two M105 frames, mount them on a bogie and add a M35 bed. When I'm done my "scrap" is some M105 frame channel and two M105 axles. I also have leftover a M35 bed and a bogie assembly without axels, but there's...

    started the BOB today

Hey I'm all about "cheating"... I use a forklift, gantry crane and a mag drill with sluggers (hole saw, not a drill bit, much quicker for the bumperette and gladhand holes). And, your truck is looking great!
