But shouldn't the path of least resistance take the excess air and move it to the air cleaner housing like i imagine this system would work.. Pressure builds up and air moves freely in and out of vent lines via the terminating point in the air filter housing....so if i put air in vent line...
So, 1989 M998, Replaced tranny and tcase and was about to reinstall vent lines.. Saw the TM for the “new” setup which I can handle fine. Was checking for obstructions in line by blowing a little air through lines. The lines definitely returned air back to my end after I put a little pressure...
Installed my rebuilt tranny and tcase...Finished the evening off with installing the starter also, old style front mounting bracket 🤣
Only took 3 hours all together.. I will definitely be replacing that bracket if that starter ever comes out again..What a boreass, good thing I have some guns on...
Kascar and RubberDuck have em.. 6 for $50... RDH10-TRB-NF-K1
Bought some but havent put em on yet. They look like good quality.. and they are black..not that flashy red 😂🤣
Getting ready to toss the 3l80 np218 back in but can’t seem to get a good look in any of the TMs for the cooling lines installation.. Can anyone assist me in which one goes to upper line and which goes to lower line ?? My thumb is on one line and index finger on the other... Does it matter...
I think my cover plate underneath has a hole in it with a plastic bung stuck in it.. Remove plastic bung and I believe it has access to that nut /washer.. If I’m not mistaken that cover piece is fairly thin, you may be able to drill an access hole and use a plastic hole cover when done...
hmm.. that would be it... now to find one.. looking
found
Kascar and I'm sure many others have something , just search for that ID number and I'm sure you'll get lots of hit.. here's one

Been waiting for a "MODS" section. Nice to be able to look at others work and maybe get some own ideas about projects. Thanks for getting this going....
