Almost finished gutting this beast.. pulled tranny last night... wasn’t that bad.. now time to rebuild it.. a lot of silver in the fluid and on components inside 😬
Tobash, Just peak at the TM for replacing the rear seal.. All I can say is that I would do it if the transmission is coming out. I plan to do mine next week or so after I pull my tranny. I dont think its that bad.. But I am sure there are lots of better opinions on here.. Get er done >>>>...

Hola peeps.. just wondering what kind of options everyone is using for these seals... The hood airlift seals are getting pretty pricey but I see a few other options out there.. Just wondering if anyone is using something other than the originals like this

Correct on the wiring.. always interrupt the neutral side of the power loop..that way the disconnect (switch) can never get shorted to ground.. but on a different note, will a disconnect switch hurt my ESSS in any way ? Just wondering with current being switched on and off.....

700R... would be my approach.. but that because i have a NP218.... change my input shaft and all bolts in.. Not as strong, but not doing rock work on the weekends.. Just a daily driver ... just my 2 cents.... Ill probably end up doing a 700R to NP218.. then change to a NP242 down the road...
