Barstow base is a no go from what I was told. They do full refurb and service for military only.
I have been working on a few HMMWVs and LMTVs in the Glendale area and might be able to help.
What were you needing done?
Pro tip....If the repair TM doesn't show what you are looking for, Try going to the -24P parts manual. They will usually show an exploded view of what you need without anything that would normally hide it from view.
There are these "high survivability" style antennas.
All steel whip that is easily removed with a collet style retainer.
Half the size and still are correct.
And they are supposedly the only ones easily adapted to use with a CB radio.
AS-3916 I believe
My guess is a wiper extension for the thicker armored windshield glass?
I haven't seen one with my own eyes yet.
Does it have a set screw on it somewhere?
Hit it with some PB Blaster just for good luck.
Yes....as they were manufactured. But, still much easier to buy. I have all the equipment at work to make them and wouldn't waste my time on making some.
To me, bad diesel smells like turpentine. It was cloudy brown. But this is Arizona and very dry here. Good diesel is bluish green and smells like diesel.

I don't have it yet as its in EUC limbo.
The pics I have don't show a UIC anywhere.
It looks like it was a fresh rebuilt MAK truck that looks to have gone directly to storage and never issued.
That makes sense. Years ago, Ancra made the best motorcycle tie down straps with that kind of tensioner lock. I still have a set thats nearly 35 years old and still in better shape than much newer knockoffs.
These buckles are a sad perversion of their good name.
Ive never seen a full metal...
Yeah, those are for the two man cargo top bows. The long ones are for the rear bow. There are upper ones that are just the loop. The lower ones have the welded washer. The lowers are all left or right handed. I think there are 6 different styles in the kit of 16 retainers
I was talking about if you broke a hook and didn't have a good one to replace it, you cant just use the bare strap to tie through the body loop as a field expedient
