My M1009 won’t start, it tries but doesn’t turn over. I replaced the Glow Plug Relay, Glow Plug Card, The Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (the sensor at the back of the engine drivers side). Months back I also replaced The Engine Coolant Temperature Switch, the sensor that’s at the back of the...
Looking good! You have cucvrus helping too. He’s the man! If you need a new manual crank handle for the rear, I got this one on EBay. I believe LMC Truck may have them as well. Thanks for keeping us in the loop...
Don’t forget to replace the Seal behind the Harmonic Balancer as well. It’s right there! I was able to get both of those parts from the dealer. Just a thought.

The timing cover that sits right above the water pump might be an idea, if it’s still the original. Or at least put a new gasket/silicone around it.

Ok, this sounds like I need some help to do. I’ll have to see what I can do about that. Thanks for the input guys! I know what to do, I just need to figure out how to do it. I’ll update later!

Thank you again for your help! I’ll think about ordering one ahead of time. I’m a bit under the gun with time because I’ll be losing my big work space at the end of the month (we sold our family house).
I struggle a lot with working on cars, I get frustrated. My Dad didn’t teach me a thing, he...
Ahhhh ok! I’m not very mechanically inclined and I have no help. This is why I’m so hesitant! I have seen a handful of videos, it doesn’t seem too complicated. I would love to clean everything while I’m at it, and maybe consider changing to LEDs.
Worse case scenario, if the circuit board is...
For the Oil light I can feel part of the circuit board flaring out in two spots around/near the round part by where the socket goes. Maybe something got bent or peeled off. I can’t tell for sure what’s going on. I’ve tried looking with my cell phone but it’s not cutting it. I actually ordered a...
I’m fairly confident I may no what is wrong. The printed circuit is very loose and unattached around the two bulbs that aren’t working. When I put my fingers up there to unscrew the bulb sockets I can feel the circuit board not attached.
If this is the case can/how do I fix this? I really hope...
p.s. if I need a new socket any idea what the part number is/where to get one?
That gets me to thinking about LED bulbs and sockets. Hmmm, imagine green ones.

Ahhh! Ok! I’ll look, I may even post a pic for you to look at. The 4 Wheel Drive light I’ll look at as well while I’m at it.
Thanks again!!

I have noticed it’s hard to twist the Oil bulb back in. I have a suspicion the circuit board might be riding a tad high, blocking/obstructing the bulb. I’m wondering if there’s a way to just pull it down somehow. Maybe that will help with the connection as well. It was awfully dirty in that area...
ezgn that’s what I’m thinking as well. I watched a video and noticed my doesn’t look right. I’m going to go back under and really look around!
Thanks for the help, I’ll report back!

I’m beginning to think I should try cleaning the contact points for the bulbs. Where the bulbs contact the back of the dashboard. I just just don’t know if there’s enough room to do that without taking the dash apart. I’ll take a look!

The fuse is fine. One thing I noticed is, it’s not easy to twist that oil bulb back in. Not sure if that matters. I’m sure hoping I don’t have to start taking the dash apart!
