I heard back from the previous owner. He never even hooked the light up! I discovered my neighbor is an auto electrician, go figure! He was kind enough to help me out. We spliced into one of the wires going up into the brake lamp area. So far so good!! Thank you for your help everyone...

*Update* The problem ended up being one of the wires that was tucked away under the metal plate that’s right there where/near the area you step on to get into the cab. I just wiggled it around and it now works. I think I’ll zip tie and tape it up with some nice cloth electrical tape. Another...
