If the Bridge port has that tag you need to look real close at all the tolerances that is why it was tagged they were built really fast and not perfect to help the war effort.

Ez-slide is great stuff, spray on graphite paint. Tow bars, shackles, spare tire davit, any metal on metal that grease wouldn't be great on. There's more uses for this stuff than you can imagine.

I would ask how hard you plan on being on the truck and how good your maintenance schedule is. And be realistic if you have a great maintenance program and plan on beating the truck, stay with a 1310 at the transfer case and heavier 1350 or 1410 at the axle end and here is why, you need a week...
While in diesel mechanics school we had several engines that never had coolanr or even a radiator on their test stand you can fire up many of the old diesels and run them for about 5 minutes before they get hot. We would just keep a hand on the head until it felt hot then shut it down.

I like the way you think red but you don't have to weld anything to them to make them work just use two cables going up to the hook or whiffletree and two cables hanging down from the loop ends.

Guys I have a expandable trailer and have played with the trucks. I would probably just make only one wall permanent as this will give you the best of both.

On the subject of the electric fan, you would be amazed at the air that can be moved. I think that they might have been engine driven but back in the 70's a formula car got banned for sucking the car to the ground and it actually worked. I have often wondered if you could use a squirrel cage fan...
