I want to seal up the hole in the firewall that the steering column goes through....
The correct part number for "Pad, Steering Gear" is: 2530-00-924-1556 or 10896759.
I can't seem to find one and have never seen one.
It looks like, from remnants of material left on the firewall, that this...
Have you considered the Goodyear G177 11.00R20. They are slightly smaller than the 395's, but according to my conversation with Goodyear, are designed for 7.5" to 8.5" rims.

The scales at the scrap metal yard said mine is right about 10,300 too.
No, I wasn't scraping it! Just using it to clean junk out of the warehouse, hauled 2,800 lbs in one load.
Stock wheels and tires, less than a full tank of fuel.

Sorry to here about your problem.... but you've forgotten that credit cards are EVIL!
I wouldn't expect GL to do anything for you, they ran your card and it declined, it's not their fault or mistake.
Credit cards are a useful tool, but you are kind of "dancing with the devil" when dealing with...
Howdy All,
I'm have the good fortune to have some heavy lifting equipment, forklift, gantry crane, etc.
But here's what I put in my M35A2 toolbox. It's a 3 Ton All-In-One Bottle Jack/Jack Stand.
It has a large base, lifts 3 tons (should be enough to change a tire unless heavily loaded), fits...
Hey IMA944T,
I sent you a PM a couple of days ago, but hadn't heard back.
Yes, NE 52nd and Oklahoma. When you get to that intersection you can't miss it, lot's of green cammo truck bits laying about!
I'll be around today working on my newest bobbed deuce.
BBQ for lunch around noon (at...
Ya, I agree Hoopsoft!
At $50 bucks it doesn't make sense to buy an airshift, and all the associated control bits, then swap those 400 lbs cases!
Properly adjust the sprag setup should work great.
It was quite embarrassing having to back up the ice and snow covered hill to my driveway while...
Well it looks like I've swung a deal for a pair of new sprags, one to use and one for a spare.
Pulling the front drive cover and replacing the sprag without removing the transfer case will be no big deal.
I know many people prefer the air shift, but I'm not driving off-road nearly as much as...
Divemaster920,
Thanks for your response.
Don't put too much effort into checking out the sprag you have just yet.
As you can see, a couple of members may have access to new ones. If getting a new one doesn't pan out I'll send you a PM.

OK, since I've had no takers on this thread....
Has anyone ever actually rebuilt their sprag clutch or replaced a bad one with a "new" sprag?
Or is the only repair method anyone has used is swap for an air shift transfer case?

It's been snowing like crazy here in central Oklahoma today, 14" so far (that's a whole lot for us), and I had to make a run to my warehouse to pick up one of my wife's Christmas presents (a new washing machine, and yes she loved it!).
I was forced to back up the hill leading to me house...
Here's the build sheet for an XM381.

My original file is a poor quality scan and I can't seem to get the attached file to show up big enough.
Here is a link to my original file:

The only thing that has held me back on the xenon HID conversion is that many people advertise a 24v HID kit on E-Bay. But; if they give you a picture of the ballast, most of them say 9v-16v right on the lid of the ballast.... not 24v!
The one Snarky found says 24v in the auction description...
24 Volt, but I did not use the Hella "heavy duty" burners. The Hella ones should survive vibration better, but the ones I purchased were $5.59 each. I can replace a lot of dead bulbs at that price!
E-Bay is your friend:

I did this upgrade too, but I'm cheap and didn't like the price of the Hella reflectors.
I purchased these E-Code reflectors for H4 burners made by EMPIUS.COM : WELCOME TO EMPIUS.COM (part# 9311)off E-Bay:
